On the afternoon of October 16, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province chaired a press conference on the Kite Festival to establish a Guinness record for the largest kite in Vietnam and announced the route of supercar parades on the coastal road in this province.
Mr. Huynh Ngoc Tam, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism informed about the event at the press conference.
Mr. Huynh Ngoc Tam, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the festival will take place from October 21 to October 29 in Hoa Thang commune (Bac Binh district) and the Hoa Thang - Hoa Phu coastal route through Bac Binh district and Tuy Phong district.
The festival will gather about 3,000 people and 200 supercars (cars) from inside and outside the province. The estimated number of kites participating is more than 1,000, lasting from October 21-29 and 60 supercars will be paraded on the coastal road of Hoa Thang - Hoa Phu (Bac Binh district).

At the press conference, Giao thong Newspaper reporters asked about traffic organization when supercars parade on the coastal road, and traffic diversion plans during the festival.
Responding to reporters, Mr. Huynh Ngoc Tam said that the Organizing Committee has proposed plans to ensure security, order and traffic safety. Binh Thuan Provincial Police will strictly control security, logo and symbol registration before the kite parade.
Regarding the supercar parade and performance, the Organizing Committee will arrange the car team and the participating cars must be specifically registered. Unregistered cars will not be allowed to participate, to avoid disorder.
"In addition to promotional and traffic guidance billboards, the Organizing Committee will announce traffic diversions to Highway 1 during the supercar parade," said Mr. Tam.

Mr. Hoang Kim Khanh - Director of Mailisa Trading and Service Company Limited said that for this festival, the company has prepared a detailed plan to meet the requirements and policies of the locality in confirming the Vietnam Guinness record for the largest kite.
Mailisa will bring to the festival a kite measuring 23 x 38m, with an area of over 800m2, with the image symbolizing "I love Vietnam" associated with the image of Binh Thuan tourism symbol and the company.
"We will combine charity programs to reach disadvantaged students in the locality. Specifically, we will give away 100 bicycles, 400 school bags, 500 kites, 300 gifts worth 300,000 VND in cash, and 500 fire extinguishers. The total value of the gifts Mailisa gives this time is 600 million VND," said Mr. Khanh.
