Tightening local cooperation on the border between Quang Ninh (Vietnam) and Guangxi (China)

In recent years, the cooperation between the border localities of Quang Ninh and the border localities of Guangxi (China) has had many positive changes in politics, economy - culture - society, national defense and security and foreign affairs. Since then, it has contributed to strengthening the solidarity and traditional bilateral friendship between the two localities.

Mong Cai City has both a land border and a sea border with China, is the core of Mong Cai Border Gate Economic Zone, a direct and important bridge in promoting cooperation with China, ASEAN and Northeast Asia, has a strategic position and role in economics, politics, defense - security and foreign affairs. Mong Cai City has a deep relationship with Dongxing City (China). The friendship between the two localities of the two countries is increasingly consolidated, developed, and deepened, contributing significantly to enriching and promoting the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and China, becoming a strong "bridge" between the two localities as well as the nation and people.

In economic and foreign cooperation, leaders of the two localities and relevant agencies of the two sides regularly maintain information to exchange and resolve cooperation contents and issues of mutual concern; regularly invite delegations of the two sides to participate in major activities organized by each side, in order to create close relationships, realize cooperation mechanisms and promote comprehensive cooperation between the two localities. In particular, many bilateral cooperation and development programs have been implemented synchronously and maintained regularly by the two sides, such as: Singing on the Bac Luan border river between the youth of the two countries; Vietnam - China International Fair held annually; cultural, artistic and football exchanges; timely support of medical supplies for the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic and flexibility and creativity in coordinating epidemic prevention and control, establishing "safe green zones"...

Along with that, to realize the promotion of cooperation between the two sides, Mong Cai City accelerates the construction of a smart digital border gate platform at Bac Luan II bridge border gate; mobilizes investment resources, synchronously upgrades border gate infrastructure; accelerates the completion of the Bac Luan II bridge inter-sectoral control station project associated with the commercial service area; builds an international agricultural, forestry and fishery commodity trading center at the Km3+4 Hai Yen opening. At the same time, coordinates with Dong Hung City (China) to promote the installation of a laboratory of the China Inspection and Quarantine Group, Guangxi Branch at the Km3+4 Hai Yen opening; builds a rudimentary iron bridge at the Km3+4 Hai Yen opening/Dong Hung border market pair; builds Bac Luan 3 bridge...

The exchange of singing on the Bac Luan border river is one of the special activities between the youth of the two cities, Mong Cai (Vietnam) and Dong Hung (China).

Hai Ha and Binh Lieu districts are also adjacent localities and have good relations with localities of Guangxi (China) in many aspects. The localities have signed and agreed on equal and mutually beneficial cooperation, implementing exchange and cooperation activities in the fields of economy, trade, security and order, culture, sports, tourism, science and technology, education, transportation, health, agriculture, border management, youth exchange, customs clearance, etc. Through cooperation and development, up to now, the two sides have achieved important achievements in the fields of political life - economy - socio-culture - national defense and security and foreign affairs. This is also the result of the attention of the Party and State, innovation, breakthroughs in thinking, and creative ways of leadership and direction between Quang Ninh (Vietnam) and Guangxi (China).

Delegation from Fangcheng District (China) visited and congratulated the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Binh Lieu District (Vietnam) on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, September 2, 2023.

At the end of February 2025, the 2025 Spring Meeting program between the secretaries of the provinces/regions and the 16th Joint Working Committee Conference between the four provinces: Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Ha Giang (Vietnam) and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) will be held in Quang Ninh. This is an opportunity for the provinces to continue to further strengthen friendship, enhance exchanges, communication, and practical, effective, and comprehensive cooperation in all fields. At the same time, it is an opportunity for Quang Ninh province to promote and strengthen bilateral friendship exchanges, promote joint economic development, contribute to promoting and deepening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China, becoming a model of bilateral cooperation.
