In addition to theoretical information, the seminar was also an opportunity to exchange, discuss, and learn from each other about real-life situations that UN missions are facing, as well as the methods and skills needed to protect themselves and their teammates in a risky working environment.
The seminar helped officers preparing to participate in activities at UN missions gain a practical view of security issues, thereby helping to improve their understanding and ability to respond to complex situations in peacekeeping operations, contributing to protecting security and stability at UN peacekeeping missions and other areas in need of support from the international community.
