At the opening ceremony of the 2023 school year, SHB Financial Support and Talent Incubation Fund presented Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-HN) with 10 billion VND.
It is expected to be implemented within 5 years with practical accompanying activities such as: supporting investment in facilities serving the study, teaching and research of the school and students; providing financial support, nurturing talented students, poor students, overcoming difficulties to excel in their studies in all majors, throughout the entire learning process from the first year to the fourth year at the whole VNU-Hanoi; providing financial support for internship and trainee programs,...
On the same day, SHB also sponsored VNU-Hanoi with 30 water purifiers and 50 chairs placed on campus and dormitories to create a civilized, modern and convenient space, with a total value of nearly 800 million VND.

Sharing at the Opening Ceremony, SHB representative said: “ VNU-Hanoi is a university that trains many generations of excellent students, providing quality human resources for Vietnamese enterprises, including SHB.
We are always ready and happy to accompany VNU-Hanoi in training, especially in the field of finance and banking. In the coming time, SHB will continue to implement many practical support activities, design suitable products and services to accompany VNU-Hanoi in the long-term development path .
Also at the event, SHB set up a consulting and product introduction booth to bring products, services and many attractive gifts and incentives to teachers, staff and students of the school.
Previously, at the end of 2022, SHB and VNU-Hanoi signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement. The cooperation agreement is an important foundation for the two sides to implement high-quality educational projects that meet international standards, improve the quality of human resources, and contribute to the sustainable development of the country.
SHB and VNU-Hanoi exploit their strengths to realize the development goals of both sides, especially activities aimed at improving the quality of human resources such as: connecting and supporting the development of practical research capacity; exchanging experiences, knowledge and professional skills; providing banking and financial software to help students easily practice and improve their capacity.
Also at the signing ceremony, SHB announced its sponsorship of the project “SHB - VNU Corebanking Practice Center” which is expected to become a model for training in Banking and Finance according to international standards, improving the quality of national human resources.
In addition, SHB will build a high-quality human resource training center for Banking and Finance Technology at the campus of VNU-Hanoi. The two sides will also coordinate to implement scientific research projects, highly applicable programs, bringing efficiency to business operations; at the same time, coordinate to design training programs and organize training for personnel.
In particular, in May 2023, Businessman Do Quang Hien - Chairman of the Board of Directors of SHB Bank was awarded the medal For the Development of VNU-Hanoi in recognition of his contributions to the cause of construction and development, contributing to promoting and spreading the good values of the school to the community and society.
Mr. Do Duc Hai - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Deputy General Director of SHB represented the bank to donate 30 water purifiers and 50 chairs placed on the school campus and dormitory.
Mr. Do Quang Hien is a former student of K24 - majoring in Physics at the University of General Sciences (now VNU-Hanoi) and was elected as the President of the VNU-Hanoi Alumni Entrepreneurs Club - a gathering place of 28 members of the Executive Board who are outstanding alumni and successful businessmen doing business in the country's key economic sectors.
Contributing to the development of VNU-Hanoi in particular, as well as contributing to the development of science, technology and education in Vietnam in general, businessman Do Quang Hien and his businesses have implemented many cooperation programs, supporting and sponsoring the activities of VNU-Hanoi and generations of students and postgraduates of the school.
In recent times, in addition to VNU-Hanoi, SHB has been promoting cooperation with prestigious and quality universities across the country and has paid much attention and investment to education-related activities.
During the 2023 opening season, SHB will award the Banking Academy scholarships to final-year students with good academic performance, actively participating in school activities, students with especially difficult circumstances, overcoming difficulties to excel in their studies; equip Thai Binh University with 150 computers and commit to step up support for excellent students with difficult circumstances in the province...
