The Czech Foreign Minister affirmed that the Czech Republic always considers Vietnam an important partner in the Czech Republic's overall foreign policy towards the Indo-Pacific region and Southeast Asia.

On April 29, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Duong Hoai Nam paid a courtesy call to Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky.
The head of the Czech Republic's foreign ministry highly appreciated Vietnam's role and contributions at multilateral forums.
At the reception, Minister Jan Lipavsky expressed his delight at the positive developments in the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the Czech Republic and Vietnam, especially after Prime Minister Petr Fiala's visit to Vietnam (April 2023) and the frequency of delegation exchanges at all levels between the two countries in recent times.
Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky affirmed that the Czech Republic always considers Vietnam an important partner in the overall foreign policy of the Czech Republic towards the Indo-Pacific region and Southeast Asia; highly appreciates the role and contributions of Vietnam at multilateral forums; emphasizes the need for the two sides to strengthen coordination and mutual support at international and regional forums, especially promoting relations between the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the European Union (EU), including the Czech Republic, as well as cooperation within the framework of the United Nations and the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM).
In the context of the Czech Republic and Vietnam looking forward to the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations (1950-2025), Minister Jan Lipavsky said that this is a very important milestone for the two countries to further deepen cooperation in all areas, especially politics, economics-trade-investment through effective coordination in implementing the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) and the Vietnam-EU Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA), contributing to bringing bilateral relations to a new level.
Expressing his gratitude to Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky for his efforts to promote bilateral relations as well as his personal feelings for the country and people of Vietnam, Ambassador Duong Hoai Nam affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and wishes to further deepen the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, towards the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (1950-2025).
Sharing Minister Jan Lipavsky's assessment of a number of measures to promote bilateral relations in the coming time, the Ambassador emphasized that the two sides maintaining delegation exchanges at all levels, especially high-level visits, will contribute to enhancing political trust and mutual understanding, promoting the bilateral relations to develop deeply, comprehensively and increasingly practically and effectively.
Ambassador Duong Hoai Nam said that the potential for cooperation between the two countries is huge, especially in the fields of economy-trade, defense, renewable energy development, digital transformation, mining, education-training, labor, tourism, etc. and suggested that the two sides soon discuss and sign agreements to create a legal framework to promote cooperation in these fields.
The Ambassador thanked the Government of the Czech Republic for actively supporting the Vietnamese community to integrate quickly and sustainably, making practical contributions to the local socio-economic development efforts and fulfilling its role as a bridge of friendship between the two countries.
The Ambassador expressed his wish and requested Minister Jan Lipavsky to continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for granting entry visas to Vietnamese citizens, especially Vietnamese students and workers to the Czech Republic, contributing to promoting people-to-people exchange and traditional friendship between the two countries./.
