Will there be a beach resort worth more than 950 billion VND next to the Thach Khe iron mine area?

According to the plan, the Wyndham Costa Ha Tinh High-end Beach Resort Project will invest in building a commercial area for rent (shoptel), combined accommodation and resort services; a tourist hotel area with high-end resort apartments; a resort villa area; a comprehensive commercial service area providing entertainment services; a restaurant area, coffee shop, health care and beauty services; green parks, parking lots and synchronous technical infrastructure.

Previously, on March 24, 2022, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province approved the investment policy and accepted the investor Onsen Fuji Group Joint Stock Company to implement the high-end coastal resort project Wyndham Costa Ha Tinh with a total investment of more than 952 billion VND.

The project covers an area of 66.15 hectares, and the project implementation schedule is 3 years from the date of investment policy approval. The project's operating period is 50 years.

In terms of scale, the investor will build a tourist hotel area, high-end resort apartments managed by Wyndham Hotel Group (USA) with about 1,000 rooms and commercial service areas providing attractive entertainment services; restaurants; bars; coffee shops; health care services; comprehensive therapy, beauty and body cleansing services with the capacity to serve 2,000 guests/day.

Invest in building a shoptel area, combined accommodation and resort services with about 500 lots; green parks, parking lots and synchronous technical infrastructure system with the capacity to serve about 1,000 guests/day.

Investing in building a high-end tourist villa area with more than 300 villas; building a shoptel area, combined accommodation and resort services with about 200 lots; building commercial service areas providing entertainment, recreation, restaurants, coffee, spa; green parks, parking lots and synchronous technical infrastructure systems...

The project aims to maximize the potential of land and advantages of sea tourism, contributing to promoting tourism development while improving living conditions for local residents.

The project will link with existing tourist areas such as Quynh Vien tourist area, Thach Hai beach tourist area (Thach Ha) and Thien Cam tourist area (Cam Xuyen)...

The Wyndham Costa Ha Tinh high-end beach resort project is located in Thach Van and Thach Tri communes, adjacent to the Thach Khe iron ore mining and selection project area. In particular, the Thach Khe iron ore mining project is located in the communes of Thach Hai, Thach Tri, Thach Khe, Dinh Ban and Thach Lac.

For many years, Ha Tinh province has proposed that the Government decide to stop exploiting the Thach Khe iron mine so that the locality can develop the socio-economy in the communes affected by the project that has been stalled for many years (exploitation has been suspended since 2011), including developing the advantages of sea tourism.

This province also plans to expand Ha Tinh city to the East in the 2023 - 2025 period by merging the entire natural area and population of 11 communes of Thach Ha district including: Dinh Ban, Thach Hai, Thach Hoi, Thach Khe, Thach Lac, Thach Thang, Thach Tri, Thach Van, Tuong Son, Tan Lam Huong, Thach Dai and 1 commune Ho Do of Loc Ha district.
