Schneider Electric Launches APC Smart-UPS Ultra

Schneider Electric, a global leader in digital transformation of energy management and automation, has launched the APC Smart-UPS Ultra, the first 1U 3kW single-phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system on the market.

APC Smart-UPS Ultra includes 2 product lines, 3kW and 5kW, and will be available in the Vietnamese market on September 12, 2023.

With the APC Smart-UPS Ultra, Schneider Electric brings to the market the smallest, most advanced single-phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system that offers flexible installation anywhere and saves on total cost of ownership (TCO) without compromising on business power protection needs.

The APC Smart-UPS Ultra is compactly designed to deliver maximum power while taking up less space. This provides installation flexibility, creating the right power density for use in the new world of electricity. The UPS design is up to 50% smaller and lighter than comparable UPS solutions on the market today.

The APC Smart-UPS Ultra Lithium-ion battery lasts three times longer than traditional battery-powered lead-acid (VRLA) UPSs and never needs to be replaced under normal operating conditions.

APC Smart-UPS Ultra features the EcoStruxure ecosystem that enables operators to remotely monitor and manage devices based on cloud data, providing data-driven recommendations to optimize performance and providing anytime, anywhere visibility across multiple UPS devices.

According to Ms. Tran Mai Huong, General Director of Schneider Electric IT Vietnam and Cambodia, this device will redefine the single-phase UPS in the market with its smaller, lighter, yet more powerful design using next-generation semiconductor technology. The product has lithium-ion technology to power IT and edge computing sites to ensure the best digital life.
