Schneider Electric expects to accelerate electrification of the transportation industry

Among them, the development of electric vehicles and renewable energy plays a central role. According to a report released by the International Energy Agency (IEA) on April 26, electric vehicle (EV) sales are growing strongly and are expected to account for nearly 20% of all vehicles sold in 2023. In its annual report on EVs, the IEA expects annual sales to increase by 35% this year, reaching 14 million vehicles, and EV market share to be at 18%, up from 4% in 2020.

The increase in electric vehicle sales means that the demand for charging stations is also increasing. However, the challenge is that the charging station infrastructure is still not developed enough and the related technology is still limited. This poses a big task for the industry to meet the growing demand of electric vehicle users.

Mr. Dong Mai Lam said: "Electric vehicle users need to charge when stopping, not stopping to charge.
