Saigon Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SCB) has just announced the liquidation sale of 17 Mitsubishi Pajero cash transport cars manufactured in 2004 (2 cars), 2006 (1 car), 2007 (5 cars) and 2008 (9 cars).

All 17 cars have HCMC license plates. The starting price for each car announced by the bank is 96.228 million VND for cars manufactured in 2004; 122.472 million VND for cars manufactured in 2006; 121 - 156 million VND for cars manufactured in 2007; and 154 - 158 million VND for cars manufactured in 2008.

It is known that the 17 specialized vehicles mentioned above belong to a batch of 23 liquidated assets, including 17 Mitsubishi Pajero vehicles and 6 Hyundai Starex vehicles that were previously sold by SCB twice in January and June 2024.

SCB said the bank will sell each piece individually instead of selling the whole lot as first announced in the auction.

Compared to the two previous auction announcements, the selling price has decreased by 10-14 million VND/car.

SCB's asset liquidation is said to be related to the closure of 91 transaction offices nationwide over the past year.

Of which, the number of transaction offices announced to close in 2023 is 47. And in the first 7 months of 2024, 44 more SCB transaction offices had to stop operating.

The peak was in June 2024, when 16 SCB transaction offices stopped operating. Next were October and December 2023, when each month, 14 transaction offices had to close.

In addition to SCB, Vietnam Public Joint Stock Commercial Bank (PVCombank) is also selling two used cash transport vehicles.

Two specialized cars of PVCombank are Hyundai Grand Starex. The starting price of the property is 145 million VND (including VAT). The deposit is 14.5 million VND.

VietinBank Bac Giang Branch recently announced the liquidation of a used Hyundai Santafe car, a specialized vehicle for transporting money, put into use from October 28, 2011, license plate 98A-007.62.

The starting price of the property was announced to be 180 million VND.
