In the first semi-final match taking place on the night of April 17, host Saudi Arabia drew 1-1 with opponent U17 Korea thanks to a late goal in the 90+10 minute of injury time.
This result helped the home team retain the "golden opportunity" to advance to the final. In the nerve-wracking penalty shootout, Saudi Arabia was ultimately the more courageous team when they defeated U17 Korea with a result of 3-1 to win the first ticket to the next round.
Meanwhile, in the remaining semi-final match taking place in the early morning of April 18, the U17 Uzbekistan team confirmed that they are the leading candidate for this year's U17 Asian Championship.

In the semi-final match, facing U17 North Korea - a team that was excited after a 6-0 victory over Indonesia in the quarter-finals and was eager to advance, U17 Uzbekistan showed their overwhelming strength. The young North Korean team was helpless against U17 Uzbekistan's attacks and eventually accepted defeat with a score of 0-3 after receiving 3 consecutive goals in the 31st, 63rd and 66th minutes.
Thus, Uzbekistan will face host Saudi Arabia in the final match of the 2025 AFC U17 Championship to compete for the championship.
As planned, the 2025 AFC U17 final will take place at 10:00 p.m. (Vietnam time) on April 20, at King Fahd Sports City Stadium (Saudi Arabia).
As for Saudi Arabia, the host team has won the U17 Asian Cup twice in 1985 and 1988, while Uzbekistan won the trophy once in 2012 and finished second in 2010.
