According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tien Giang province, by the end of 2023, the province's durian area will be 21,790 hectares. Of which, the area for the product is 14,915 hectares, with an output of more than 386 thousand tons, mainly concentrated in Cai Lay district, Cai Be district and Cai Lay town.

Currently, the whole province has 155 durian growing area codes with an area of ​​over 6,927 hectares and 66 durian packing facility codes.

To date, the province has received 266 durian growing area dossiers, of which 111 dossiers are awaiting Chinese approval with an area of ​​over 4,700 hectares.

Since the Protocol on the official export of durian to the Chinese market took effect from July 11, 2022, the price of this fruit in the province has remained high, helping farmers earn large profits.
