Highlighted at the Agricultural Products and Regional Specialties Fair, which was recently opened by the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center ( Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development ) in coordination with relevant units on the morning of June 13, in Hanoi, the program "Connecting Agricultural Products - Loving Durian Station" was implemented under the strategic consultancy of companies such as Enviva Technology Consulting Joint Stock Company, Dukruco Joint Stock Company and FiveF Joint Stock Company, attracting a large number of customers to visit and shop for durian specialties.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuyen - General Director of Enviva Technology Consulting Joint Stock Company - said that the implementation of the idea of the program "Connecting agricultural products - Loving sorrow station" is within the framework of activities connecting the consumption of agricultural products and specialties of localities associated with the crop seasons of each region according to the value chain from production to consumption between cooperatives, enterprises with supermarkets and food stores in major cities across the country. At the same time, promoting brand promotion activities, honoring agricultural products, regional specialties, and key products of localities, thereby contributing to positively impacting the production, processing, and consumption of agricultural products and specialties in the direction of ecological, sustainable agriculture , applying high technology.
The program "Connecting agricultural products - Loving durian station" is a program to promote the consumption of durian agricultural products in the domestic market. The program has participated in forms such as livestream sales to promote fresh durian and durian processed products.
Promoting domestic durian consumption helps gardeners feel secure in developing production, and consumers can enjoy quality durian at reasonable prices. This helps the durian agricultural market develop sustainably. Promoting domestic consumption helps reduce risks due to over-reliance on export markets, especially in the context of global economic fluctuations.
“The program “Connecting agricultural products – Loving durian station” has applied research technology and built an ecosystem of processed products from deep durian divided into 4 main product categories : fresh durian, snacks, desserts and beverages . From this strategy, the program has officially entered the market for processing durian products with a market share in the categories of desserts , snacks and beverages worth more than 275 billion USD annually in the Asian market alone,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuyen.

Bringing many local specialties such as: Cashew nuts, coffee, avocado, durian of Dak Nong province, Ms. Trinh Thi Ngoc Van - Director of Ha Van Agricultural Products Company - said that Dak Nong - one of the capitals of durian in Vietnam. With special soil, Dak Nong durian rice has a different quality, sweet and fatty taste, flat seeds, soft and dry segments, when eaten, it feels chewy in the mouth.
“Yesterday, even though it had not yet opened, consumers in the capital heard about Dak Nong durian and bought 200 kg to support us. This morning (June 13), we sold about 300 kg. We are currently continuing to transport durian from Dak Nong to Hanoi to serve consumers in the capital. Along with durian, Dak Nong cashew nuts with superior quality, plump, crispy, fragrant, delicious, and naturally sweet also attract customers. Many people who buy one want to buy two,” said Ms. Trinh Thi Ngoc Van.
According to Mr. Nguyen Quang Duong (Cau Giay, Hanoi), when coming to the market, I was especially impressed with the durian stalls. The prices were reasonable, and some stalls even had promotions on the first day of opening, instead of selling for 120,000 VND/kg, customers only had to buy for 100,000 VND/kg, the durian was bought for a total of 3kg. The small fruit, only 2-3kg, was very affordable for most consumers. "I bought 2 durians, each weighing 2.2kg, which cost less than 500,000 VND," said Mr. Nguyen Quang Duong.

“Currently, we have exported a lot of durian to the Chinese market , but to create a stable and sustainable market foundation, in addition to the export market, promoting consumption connections in the domestic market also needs to be focused on. So that people in the Northern provinces can also experience and use durian fruit” , Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien shared and said that at this Fair, we want to focus on introducing durian products.
