Maestro Vilmos Oláh is a classical violinist who has performed as a soloist on five continents and at numerous festivals and music capitals around the world. Maestro Vilmos Oláh has won numerous prestigious international awards, including an Emmy in 2018.

Coming to Hoi An, Maestro Vilmos Oláh performed famous musical works and had musical exchanges with young local artists. This is considered a great opportunity for Hoi An artists to interact, exchange and learn from the experiences of a world-famous artist.

According to the leader of Hoi An City People's Committee, 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the sister city relationship between Hoi An City and Szentendre City of Hungary (2014 - 2024), so the performance of violinist Maestro Vilmos Oláh in Hoi An ancient town brings more emotions of friendship between the two sides.
At the same time, it is a great opportunity for Hoi An to once again affirm its status as a member of the UNESCO Global Creative Cities Network, attracting many artists and creative experts to exchange and perform, contributing to the realization of the initiative "Hoi An Creative House".

Speaking at the program, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary in Hanoi Baloghdi Tibor said that the two cities of Szentendre and Hoi An may be far apart but are close and similar in many aspects as they are both tourist cities with long-standing heritage and unique cultural life.
The partnership between Szentendre and Hoi An highlights the importance of long-term commitment and close people-to-people cooperation, which is highlighted today by the presence of the Hungarian artist in Hoi An.

"I hope that people from Szentendre and Hoi An will visit each other's cities in large numbers, and I also believe that the relationship between the two sister cities will develop further in the coming years," said Ambassador Baloghdi Tibor.
