Variety of flight options
Starting from October 29, Jeju Air will resume flights from Seoul (Korea) to Phu Quoc.
The flight departs from Incheon Airport at 20:35 daily (local time) and arrives at Phu Quoc Airport at 12:50 the following day. The return flight departs from Phu Quoc at 1:50 and returns to Incheon Airport at 9:30 (local time).
Accordingly, Jeju Air also became the first Korean airline after the Covid-19 pandemic to reopen direct flights to Phu Quoc.
Before the pandemic, this was also the first Korean airline to operate flights from Jeju Island to Phu Quoc. Experts say that Jeju Air is "one step ahead" and this will be able to attract more passengers.
Phu Quoc is a super hot destination for Korean tourists.
Previously, Korean Air also announced the launch of a new route between Seoul and Phu Quoc from November 26.
Flights will depart daily at 3:45 p.m. (local time) from Seoul and arrive in Phu Quoc at 7:50 p.m. The return flight from Phu Quoc will depart at 9:20 p.m. and arrive at Incheon Airport in Seoul at 4:50 a.m. the following morning (local time).
Jin Air, a subsidiary of Korean Air, will also operate daily flights from Seoul to Phu Quoc, starting from December 24.
Flights will depart from Incheon Airport at 5:25 p.m. (local time) and arrive at Phu Quoc Airport at 9:20 p.m. The return flight from Phu Quoc departs at 10:20 p.m. and arrives at Incheon Airport at 6:10 a.m. the following day (local time).
The presence of three big players in the "game" has helped the Seoul - Phu Quoc route become hotter than ever in the Korean market. When more airlines join the game, airfares are expected to be cheaper and tourists will have more options.

Exploding demand to Phu Quoc
According to information from the Korean Aviation Information Portal, the number of Korean passengers traveling to and from Vietnam in the third quarter of this year was 2,337,426, more than double the same period last year.
A representative of a Korean airline said that because there were many flights from Korea to Nha Trang and Da Nang, the airlines switched to Phu Quoc to exploit new destinations.
The Seoul - Phu Quoc route recorded 931 flights and 200,000 passengers from January to August 2023. Compared to the same period in 2019, the number of flights increased by 53.6% and passenger transport efficiency increased by 97.8%.
This shows the boom in demand for travel from Korean tourists to Phu Quoc, but as of October 15, Vietjet Air is the only airline operating direct flights. That is why Korean airlines are joining the race.
Phu Quoc is a new and very attractive destination for Korean tourists in the fall and winter. The media of the "land of kimchi" has unanimously called Phu Quoc "the Maldives of Vietnam", stating that this is a new choice besides Da Nang and Nha Trang, which are too familiar to tourists of this country.
