After April 30: Revocation of petroleum business license if electronic invoices are not issued

(GLO)- Key traders in the petroleum business, petroleum distributors, and general agents who do not issue electronic invoices for each sale and connect data with tax authorities will have their business licenses revoked after April 30.

Accordingly, implementing Notice No. 175/TB-VPCP dated April 13, 2025 of the Government Office, on April 17, 2025, the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development (Ministry of Industry and Trade) issued Official Dispatch No. 436/TTTN-XD requesting key petroleum traders, petroleum distributors, and general agents to promote the application of digitalization in petroleum business management. The Department of Domestic Market Management and Development also emphasized that digitalization in the petroleum business sector must be completed before April 30, 2025.

Businesses will have their petroleum business licenses revoked if they do not implement electronic invoices before April 30.

“Any trader or businessperson who does not comply with regulations on electronic invoices, electronic invoices generated from cash registers for each sale and data connection with tax authorities will be considered ineligible to trade in petroleum and have their license revoked” - Official Dispatch No. 436/TTTN-XD emphasized.

The Department of Domestic Market Management and Development also requires units to seriously carry out reporting on the National Petroleum Business Management and Operation Database System at the website quanlyxangdau.moit.gov.vn.
