World-class New Year's Eve Festival Coming Soon in Thu Duc (HCMC)

VOV.VN - The New Year Festival - City Tet Fest Thu Duc 2025 will take place over 5 days, with 2 nights of grand music concerts featuring talented international artists and top Vietnamese singers. The information was announced by the People's Committee of Thu Duc City (HCMC) at a press conference held at noon on October 31.
City Tet Fest Thu Duc 2025 is an iconic event of Thu Duc City taking place from December 28, 2024 to January 1, 2025 at Saigon Riverside Park (Thu Thiem Ward, Thu Duc City). This is the first multi-colored, multi-experience New Year Festival held in Ho Chi Minh City, combining culture, community, technology and sustainability. City Tet Fest is designed in the same scale and form as major festivals in the world, promising to become an attractive entertainment destination for city residents, attracting domestic and foreign tourists at the beginning of the new year 2025.
The highlight of City Tet Fest 2025 is the international-class music stage, designed as grandly as a global music festival. The program has 2 grand concerts on the opening night of December 28 and the Countdown night to welcome the new year on December 31, 2024.

The “marriage” between traditional and modern music, between multiple generations of artists, or between Vietnam and international on the same stage will create unique and impressive performances. For the first time, the spirit of "community" will be honored and enhanced at City Tet Fest Thu Duc 2025, where communities from all fields converge to create a colorful picture of Vietnamese culture and vitality, such as the artist and artistic creation community, hiphop community, X-Game community, traditional culinary community, Vietnamese agricultural product community... "The message that Thu Duc City wants to send to people at home and abroad is the national cultural element, which is always one of the elements that Thu Duc people always cherish. That is the common point and an important source of motivation for Thu Duc City to accompany people and businesses", said Mr. Nguyen Ky Phung, Vice Chairman of Thu Duc City People's Committee.
Representative of the Organizing Committee introduces the scale of the festival Ms. Tran Tue Tri, Advisor and Co-founder of Vietnam Brand Purpose, said that when mentioning a city or a country, people often think of some typical festivals. For example, Japan has the cherry blossom festival; Thailand has the water festival..., and Ho Chi Minh City in general and Thu Duc City in particular are characterized by the winding Saigon River. Therefore, organizing the festival along the Saigon River from Ba Son Bridge to Thu Thiem Bridge will form a festival imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity but also breathe a modern breath into Tet, bringing Tet closer, into the lives of young people and international tourists.
Organizing Committee answers media questions The Organizing Committee expects to hold this festival annually on an international scale, as a new destination for tourists and residents of the city; thereby contributing to the implementation of the city's cultural industry development strategy until 2030. At the same time, this is an opportunity to bring traditional culture into the modern flow, preserve and spread the values of Vietnamese heritage to the world, contributing to turning heritage into assets to build the national brand of Vietnam.
