Immediately after the referee blew the whistle to start the final match of the 2023 National U.21 Championship, SLNA poured into the attack. The Nghe An team completely controlled the game for most of the first half. U.21 SLNA continuously caused trouble in the penalty area of the PVF-CAND team. The first notable situation of the match came from the 17th minute. Dinh Xuan Tien was the one who stole the ball in front of the penalty area and fired a beautiful shot with the inside of his right foot, but unfortunately the ball hit the junction between the crossbar and the post. The continuous attacks of U.21 SLNA were realized with the opening goal in the 22nd minute.
