In the cool weather, this morning (June 7), nearly 110,000 candidates in Hanoi came to the exam locations to complete procedures and listen to the regulations for the 2024 Public High School Grade 10 Entrance Exam. The exam will take place over 3 days (June 8-10).
With nearly 110,000 students registering for the 10th grade exam, only 81,000 will be able to enter public schools this year.
Among the schools, Yen Hoa High School has the highest "competition ratio" of 1/3.11, meaning that on average, only 1 out of every 3 candidates passes the exam. Following are Le Quy Don High School - Ha Dong with a competition ratio of 1/2.9 and Tran Hung Dao High School - Ha Dong with a ratio of 1/2.55.

The entrance exam for grade 10 in Hanoi will begin tomorrow morning, June 8, with the Literature subject (essay format, 120 minutes). In the afternoon of the same day, candidates will take the Foreign Language exam (multiple choice format, 60 minutes). On the morning of June 9, candidates will take the Math exam (essay format, 120 minutes).
Candidates who register for specialized classes will take an additional exam on June 10.

Hanoi is expected to announce the exam scores no later than July 2. Hanoi's 10th grade benchmark scores will be announced on July 6-9. Successful candidates will confirm their enrollment from July 10-12. On July 19-22, schools that do not have enough students will consider additional admissions.
