At around 9:15 a.m., the price of SJC gold bars was increased by 1.2 million VND for buying and 2 million VND for selling compared to yesterday, listed at 100.9 million VND/tael for buying and 103.9 million VND/tael for selling.
PNJ Company increased the buying price by 700,000 VND and the selling price by 1.5 million VND, listed at 100.4 million VND/tael for buying and 103.4 million VND/tael for selling.
Bao Tin Minh Chau Company increased the buying price by 600,000 VND and the selling price by 1.5 million VND, listed at 100.4 million VND/tael for buying and 103.4 million VND/tael for selling.
Phu Quy Group also increased the buying price by 1.1 million VND and the selling price by 1.5 million VND, listed at 100 million VND/tael for buying and 103.4 million VND/tael for selling.
Mi Hong Gold Shop (HCMC) also increased the buying price by VND800,000 and the selling price by VND1.1 million, listed at VND101 million/tael for buying and VND103 million/tael for selling.
Thus, the price of SJC gold bars this morning officially reached its highest peak ever, reaching 103.9 million VND/tael, surpassing the peak set on April 3 at 102.8 million VND/tael.
The price of 9999 gold rings this morning also reached a historical peak. Bao Tin Minh Chau Company increased the buying price by 600,000 VND and the selling price by 1.5 million VND compared to yesterday, quoting the price at 100.5 million VND/tael for buying and 103.5 million VND/tael for selling.
PNJ Company increased the buying price by 300,000 VND but kept the selling price unchanged, trading at 99.8 million VND/tael for buying and 101.9 million VND/tael for selling.
SJC Company also increased the buying price by VND800,000 and the selling price by VND1.5 million, listing 9999 gold rings at VND100.3 million/tael for buying and VND103.3 million/tael for selling.
Phu Quy Group also increased by 800,000 VND for buying and 1.6 million VND for selling, trading at 100 million VND/tael for buying and 103.5 million VND/tael for selling.
Thus, the highest price of 9999 gold rings has reached 103.5 million VND/tael, breaking the peak set on April 3 at 102.9 million VND/tael. Currently, the price of 9999 gold rings is 400,000 VND/tael lower than the highest price of SJC gold bars on the market.
In the world gold market, the closing price of gold in New York on the night of April 9 was 3,082 USD/ounce, up 99.3 USD compared to the previous session. The spot gold price on Kitco at around 9:30 a.m. on April 10 (Vietnam time) was 3,115 USD/ounce, up more than 40 USD compared to the closing price in New York. This price after conversion is equivalent to 98 million VND/tael, lower than SJC gold bars and 9999 gold rings by about 5.3-5.9 million VND/tael.
World gold prices increased by more than 100 USD/ounce, surpassing the 3,100 USD/ounce mark - recording the strongest increase in more than 1.5 years. US-China trade tensions have increased investors' demand for gold as a hedge against risks, causing this precious metal to increase sharply. The SPDR Gold Trust also net bought nearly 12 tons of gold in the most recent session.
