Want to share the luck
Born in Singapore, living abroad most of the time, Ha Vy can still speak Vietnamese quite well. "My family has always taught me very carefully about Vietnamese customs and traditions, I always speak Vietnamese at home and I especially like to cook Vietnamese dishes, learn about my homeland through books, newspapers, social networks... I always hope to finish my studies early to return to Vietnam to work in the future", Ha Vy shared. "Wet behind the ears" entering the UC Berkeley lecture hall in 2022, Ha Vy has quickly participated in many community activities such as the position of advisor to the ASRB organization (the association of university students under the SERC at UC Berkeley) - helping businesses implement social responsibilities, especially focusing on models of job creation for people with disabilities. You are also on the board of members of the Femtech organization with the desire to develop women's rights in the technology field, collaborating with the AAPA organization to contribute to developing leadership capacity for the Asian community in the United States... As a young person full of positive energy, Ha Vy said that she always feels lucky to be exposed to many cultures, so she has to constantly learn, be open-minded, develop and share. "But one of the things that makes me happiest is growing up in the love of my family, learning valuable things from them. My brother is the biggest inspiration for me", Ha Vy confided. Having an autistic brother, Ha Vy said that growing up with him helped her learn how to perceive and accept differences and constantly strive to overcome herself.Always towards Vietnam homeland
And also because of her great love for her brother, Ha Vy launched the "Puzzle Dance" dance with the message "Different, still great" on International Autism Awareness Day a few years ago. The young girl's wish is that through the youthful dance above, people will sympathize, support and give more love to the autistic community. Talking about one of the most meaningful failures for herself, Ha Vy said that in 2022 she had the opportunity to participate in an activity that could contribute to developing the national brand of Vietnam. However, while all members of the group could speak Vietnamese fluently, Ha Vy still encountered many challenges in this and in the end she had to withdraw from the group with regret. The above failure helped her realize the limitations that needed to be improved in herself. "At the same time, I also realized that when we really want to, there will be many ways to do what we love and want to conquer," Ha Vy shared. For example, in October 2023, Ha Vy won the title of Miss Asia World USA 2023. "The journey to this award was not without challenges because I had to arrange my study schedule and community activities to go to Los Angeles to practice and compete," she said. In the final night, Ha Vy participated in the Vietnamese national costume competition. She said that she always felt full of pride every time she wore the ao dai to perform and shouted out the two words Vietnam. With the title she just achieved, Ha Vy hopes to "spread her wings" so that in the near future she will have more opportunities to contribute to increasing foreign investment in Vietnam, helping many autistic people in the country have a fulfilling life, filled with love and opportunity.Tuoitre.vn
