Ready to put Bai Tu Long Bay tour into operation

Leaders of Van Don district inspected preparations for the tourism development conference and the opening ceremony of tourist tours on Bai Tu Long Bay at Ao Tien International Port.

The conference on developing tourism in Bai Tu Long Bay in 2025 and launching tours to Bai Tu Long Bay, Quang Ninh province with the participation of about 200 delegates and the opening ceremony of tours to Bai Tu Long Bay will be held at Ao Tien International Port (Van Don district) on the morning of March 29. The conference on developing tourism in Bai Tu Long Bay, Quang Ninh province in 2025 will take place in the afternoon of the same day at Wyndham Garden Sonasea Hotel, Van Don district.

In preparation for the opening ceremony of the tourist tours on Bai Tu Long Bay, 5 ships are equipped with full safety and fire protection equipment, ready to welcome guests. At Ao Tien International Port, preparations have been completed. Environmental sanitation work is being carried out continuously, cleaning the areas to receive delegates, the water surface of the wharf leading to the ships. Rescue plans, fire protection equipment are all checked and ready for all situations.

Bai Tu Long National Park Management Board cooperated with Viettel Quang Ninh to survey and upgrade the broadcasting station on Cai Lim Island.

Van Don District People's Committee has presided over the development of the scenario and implementation of the organization, at the same time, coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, relevant units to carry out the reception, protocol, logistics and other conditions for the event, as well as, arranged the means of guiding the opening of the journey from Ao Tien International Port to Ban Sen Commune. Clearly identifying the significance of this event, Van Don District has prepared all conditions for the organization to take place smoothly. The district has planned to introduce new local tourism products to travel agencies and tourism companies; There are working programs connecting cruise ship businesses with Ao Tien International Port to increase visitors to Bai Tu Long Bay.

Along with the efforts of local authorities, businesses have also quickly built tours and routes to welcome visitors to Bai Tu Long Bay, preparing to introduce them to domestic and foreign tourists. Not only does it have beautiful natural scenery, Bai Tu Long Bay is also located in an area with modern port infrastructure, synchronous transportation, connecting many destinations or outstanding tourism products of Van Don, Binh Lieu, Tien Yen. We are researching and building suitable tours, in time to introduce them to partners and customers this summer.

Previously, the Bai Tu Long National Park Management Board coordinated with Viettel Quang Ninh to complete the upgrading of BTS technical infrastructure at Cai Lim Island in Bai Tu Long Bay. Thereby, telecommunications coverage was provided in most areas of Bai Tu Long National Park, meeting the requirements of tourism development, serving the opening and official operation of tourist routes on Bai Tu Long Bay on March 29.

Mr. Dao Nhu Quynh, Director of Viettel Quang Ninh, said: Of the 10 announced tours to Bai Tu Long Bay, 3 tours pass through locations in Bai Tu Long National Park. Many locations in the tours have been areas with low telecommunication signals for many years. Viettel Quang Ninh has coordinated with the Management Board of Bai Tu Long National Park to upgrade the BTS station infrastructure in Cai Lim Island area, serving high-speed broadcasting, with wide coverage across waterways and tourism routes. Up to now, more than 15,700 hectares of Bai Tu Long National Park, both in the forest and under the sea, have been basically covered, especially focusing on sea tourism routes, Mang Ha overnight area, Tram forest complex - Vietnam heritage tree in Minh Chau commune... Upgrading telecommunications infrastructure in Bai Tu Long Bay area, especially in areas with complex terrain, will continue to be implemented in the coming time, ensuring the completion of shared infrastructure for many telecommunications networks, creating favorable conditions to promote the development of the marine economy, especially tourism.

In preparation for the opening of tourist itineraries on Bai Tu Long Bay, the Department of Construction has also actively reviewed and supplemented necessary conditions to ensure the safety of inland waterway routes in the Bai Tu Long Bay area; arranged overnight anchorage points, supplemented plans to develop the port system and anchorage points in the bay area. At the same time, supplemented types of tourist vehicles suitable for connecting Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay into the plan to develop the fleet on the bay.

Immediately after the opening ceremony of Bai Tu Long Bay tours, Ao Tien International Port has tourist boats serving visitors to Bai Tu Long Bay every day. During the April 30 - May 1 holiday, new tourist boats and dinner services on board will be added. In 2025, departments, branches and units will complete overnight anchorages to develop overnight boat products on Bai Tu Long Bay.
