Complete the preparation work

Up to now, preparations for the Provincial School Sports Tournament (SSC) for the 2024-2025 school year have been completed. This year's tournament will take place at 7 locations: Le Trung Kien Gymnasium, Provincial Stadium, Tuy Hoa City Multi-purpose Gymnasium, Phu Yen University, Tran Quoc Toan Secondary School, Nguyen Hue High School, Phu Yen Youth Activity Center swimming pool.

Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Vo Thi Minh Duyen said that the Provincial Sports Competition for the 2024-2025 school year took place from April 12-22, attracting more than 2,000 athletes who are students from 42 units, including 9 Departments of Education and Training and 33 high schools. The athletes competed in 8 sports: football, volleyball, basketball, swimming, athletics, shuttlecock, badminton and table tennis. Currently, the units are making efforts to train and organize health check-ups for the athletes to ensure they are qualified to participate in the competition. The Organizing Committee has completed the training of the referee team participating in the competitions. The Health Department has also summoned a team of doctors to serve the medical work at the competition venues...

In addition to the preparation work of the organizing committee, the units with athletes participating in the competition also organize training, prepare thoroughly, create the best conditions for the athletes to study and practice. Huynh Tue Linh, class 7A, Luong The Vinh Secondary School (Tuy Hoa City) said: "Participating in the Provincial TTHD Tournament in the 2024-2025 school year, I will compete in the 100m and 200m freestyle swimming events for women. This year, I was called up by the Tuy Hoa City Department of Education and Training to join the team, and have been practicing for 10 days at the Phu Yen Youth Activity Center swimming pool. Every morning, my team members and I practice physical strength, endurance, techniques, swimming tactics... Currently, I am in a comfortable spirit, ready to enter the competition on the green track".

Determined to achieve high results

The Provincial TTHD Tournament is considered a large sports playground for students of all ages to compete and gain experience. Many athletes participating in this tournament have participated in district, provincial and national sports tournaments and won medals and were summoned by units and schools to practice and compete. Therefore, this is a tournament that promises to have many explosive and breakthrough performances of athletes and will leave behind attractive matches for viewers and cheers.

The Provincial Sports Festival for the 2024-2025 school year is a sports festival for students in the province to maintain and promote the physical training movement following the example of great Uncle Ho; encourage students to practice and compete in sports to improve health and physical development. This tournament also improves health, develops physical fitness, contributes to developing students' sports talents, to form teams, practice to participate in tournaments organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in 2025.

Currently, units and schools are urgently practicing, athletes practice both early in the morning and late in the afternoon to improve their techniques, physical strength, endurance, and tactics in competition with the determination to achieve the highest possible results. Head of the Department of Education and Training of Tuy Hoa City Nguyen Ho Bao Khoi said: Participating in the Provincial TTHD Tournament for the 2024-2025 school year, the department summoned 28 teachers to practice for more than 157 athletes who are primary and secondary school students participating in all subjects and competition contents set forth by the organizing committee. For each team and each sport, the Department of Education and Training has made a list of athletes to practice from the beginning of April until now, each team has its own training ground. The Department of Education and Training arranges a reasonable practice time so as not to affect the students' studies at school. “In the past time, the department has created the most favorable conditions for athletes and coaches to practice, and practice right at the competition venues so that they can get used to the field, create a comfortable mindset, and enter the tournament with the highest results. The goal of the Tuy Hoa City Department of Education and Training at this tournament is to win the first prize for the entire team,” said Mr. Khoi.

In the days before the tournament, coaches begin to reduce training intensity so that athletes can recover at the right time and limit injuries. Coaches of each sport focus on technical exercises, competition tactics... Mr. Phan Ho Hung, in charge of sports work of the Dong Xuan District Department of Education and Training, said: “Coming to the Provincial TTHD Tournament for the 2024-2025 school year, the Dong Xuan District Department of Education and Training has summoned 80 of the best athletes to participate. In addition to organizing training for the teams, the Department of Education and Training focuses on and invests in strong sports such as men's volleyball, women's volleyball, shuttlecock, and badminton to protect the medals that the teams have won over the years. In particular, for women's volleyball, Dong Xuan District has defended the championship for 10 years, so it is even more effort to practice every day. Currently, for some sports, we have reduced the training intensity for the athletes, allowing them to relax so that they can enter the tournament with the most comfortable mindset. Hopefully this year, the athletes will compete well and bring the best results for the team."
