Ready for the high school graduation exam rehearsal in Ha Tinh

To prepare for nearly 17,000 12th grade students in Ha Tinh to take the first mock exam held on a province-wide scale, in recent days, high schools have focused on reviewing knowledge for students, preparing organization work, and facilities to ensure the exam takes place seriously and objectively like a real exam.

At Nghen High School, to meet the conditions for more than 700 12th grade candidates (including 12th grade students of Nghen High School, Can Loc Continuing Education Center and Ly Tu Trong Vocational College) to participate in the mock exam, the school has fully prepared facilities in 31 exam rooms to meet the requirements according to regulations.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Principal of Nghen High School (Can Loc) said: "In the past few days, we have seriously implemented the steps according to the Department's instructions on establishing an examination council, organizing training for teachers and staff, and disseminating examination regulations to students. Determining and correctly evaluating the exam results will be the accurate basis for adjusting the teaching and review plan in the final stage, so we pay special attention to ensuring safety and transparency for the exam."

2025 is the first year that the high school graduation exam will apply the requirements and orientations of the 2018 GeneralEducation Program. Therefore, schools are focusing on developing and implementing review plans with duration and knowledge systems to help students have the best preparation before taking the exam.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang - teacher at Nguyen Dinh Lien High School shared: "From the direction of the school and the subject groups, we have also reviewed and classified the students' levels to propose a class placement plan suitable to their abilities. Along with that, we proactively develop a plan, review content, compile a system of questions and appropriate exercises to organize review for students, focus on helping students practice questions, fill in questions on the worksheets...".

The first mock high school graduation exam in 2025 organized by the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh will begin on April 21 and 22. According to information from the Department of Education and Training, each public high school will be a testing site with a total of nearly 17,000 candidates participating (including students from public and private high schools and vocational education and training centers). This is considered a province-wide "general rehearsal" organized by the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh to help students practice before the official exam. Therefore, the Department of Education and Training has directed schools to fully arrange exam rooms and teachers on duty; establish a steering committee, related committees to organize, test, inspect, and supervise the exam process seriously, objectively and transparently.

Students are fully informed of the rules and regulations of the first trial exam.

In order to prepare for the mock exam to be organized as a real exam, the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh had previously planned to organize the mock high school graduation exam in 2025. The mock exam is intended to create conditions for 12th grade students to have the opportunity to self-test their knowledge and skills; prepare well mentally and test-taking methods before the 2025 High School Graduation Exam. This is also the basis for schools to survey the results of 12th grade students, thereby adjusting teaching and review plans; at the same time, creating opportunities for managers, teachers and students to practice before the official exam.

It is expected that the direct test on a province-wide scale will be organized by the education sector twice. The second time will be held in mid-May.
