After about 10 minutes of assistance, the 38-year-old woman safely gave birth to a baby girl on the Thong Nhat SE4 train while passing through Thanh Hoa province in the early morning of June 6th.
At 1:40 AM, train SE4, departing from Saigon station and en route north, reached Thanh Hoa province when flight attendant Le Minh Thai discovered passenger Le Thi Hong Hoa, traveling from Bien Hoa station to Hanoi , lying in berth number 5 in carriage 6, experiencing abdominal pain and ruptured membranes, showing signs of imminent childbirth.

Train conductor Le Thanh Van (Southern Railway Passenger Service Team) said that the train staff immediately made an announcement calling for passengers with medical expertise to come to carriage 6 to provide assistance. Ten minutes later, the pregnant woman safely gave birth to a baby girl on the train with the assistance of train staff and a passenger with medical expertise.
The train arrived at Thanh Hoa station at 2:07 AM the same day. The train crew handed over Ms. Hoa and her child, along with their luggage, to railway staff at the station to be transferred to the nearest medical facility.
