An emergency situation happened a few days ago in the waiting room of Miami International Airport, India: A female passenger's water broke and she gave birth near the security area.
The moment a mother held her newborn son in the middle of the Miami International Airport waiting room in front of passengers was truly a special and strange image.
Immediately after receiving an emergency medical call from the airport at around 5pm on November 12, the airport rescue team quickly arrived. A passenger said that while the mother was waiting for a transfer to another state, her water suddenly broke.
The video captured the heartwarming moment after the woman went into labor, holding her baby in her arms. "He's alive! He's alive, right?" one operator asked. "Yes!" another replied. "Okay. Hold tight! We're having a boy!" exclaimed a nearby worker.
The operator then quickly dispatched an ambulance to the airport within minutes.
Cellphone footage shows the mother lying on the ground after giving birth to a healthy baby boy, surrounded by a group of medical staff. The medical staff took the mother and child to a local hospital. Both mother and child are currently in stable condition.
Giving birth at the airport, even on an airplane, are rare situations that have happened in the world . In 2017, a pregnant woman gave birth on a Jet Airways (India) plane when the Boeing was flying at an altitude of more than 10,000m.
Luckily, the baby boy was born healthy and received a special gift from the airline: free flights for life.
