Through inspection and survey, the Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee highly appreciated the neatness and aesthetics of the booths; at the same time, he emphasized that this is a very favorable occasion, an opportunity for representatives of craft villages and enterprises to introduce the typical products of the capital to the people of Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country.
“The booth needs to prepare and display a variety of its products, introducing in detail the historical origin of each product to tourists and residents of Ho Chi Minh City. In particular, for food booths, it is necessary to pay special attention to food safety and hygiene issues,” said Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen.
At her tea and green rice ice cream shop, People's Artist Pham Thi Tuyet, expressed her excitement: "I am very proud and honored to be chosen by the City to bring Hanoi products and the culinary quintessence of Hanoians to Ho Chi Minh City to introduce."
According to Ms. Tuyet, because Hanoi is entering autumn, today she brings to the people of Ho Chi Minh City products typical of Hanoi's autumn: green rice and lotus (lotus tea, green rice cake, green rice ice cream).
According to artisan Nguyen Thi Hien - owner of the food stall "Bun oc ba ngoai", shared: "Participating in the program "Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City", I was very moved. Before preparing the dishes to serve the people and diners of Ho Chi Minh City, I felt very excited as if I wanted to return to my relatives every time I was away".
Similarly, Meritorious Artisan Phan Thi Thuan (Phung Xa Commune, My Duc District, Hanoi) shared: "I am very honored to be selected and invited by the Hanoi People's Committee to participate in the program "Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City". Through the program, I have more opportunities to introduce the traditional craft products of my family, which are mulberry growing, silkworm raising, silk reeling and silk weaving to tourists and people of Ho Chi Minh City. In addition to introducing the products, we also learn more about the culture of the people of the City named after Uncle Ho, thereby connecting more".
According to Economic and Urban reporters, during the first day of the program “Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City”, many domestic and foreign tourists were interested and impressed with the exhibition spaces and miniature scenes recreating historical relics such as Long Bien Bridge, One Pillar Pagoda, Khue Van Cac… bearing the cultural features of the thousand-year-old capital Hanoi.
Sharing with reporters, Mr. Nguyen Van Cai said: "I am a native of Hanoi who has lived in Ho Chi Minh City for more than 30 years. Today, passing by here, I was very impressed with the exhibition space of the organizers of "Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City". Through this space, I felt a very Hanoi atmosphere right in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, with many images and flavors of the capital's specialties."
The program "Promoting and introducing products, combining promotion of tourism linking Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City" takes place from August 23-25 at Nguyen Hue walking street (District 1). The program will display and introduce unique products, including "old" products representing historical, cultural and traditional values and "new" products representing integration and development, such as: Bat Trang ceramics; Son Dong wood and gilded lacquer; Ngu Xa bronze casting; Van Phuc silk; Ha Thai lacquer; Phu Vinh rattan and bamboo weaving; Phung Xa silk; Hang Bac jewelry.
In addition, there are also performances from some other craft villages such as: Trach Xa Bamboo Dragonfly; Chuong Village Non; Phuong Duc Clay Figs...
