What blockbuster products will Apple introduce at tonight's event?

According to MacRumos, tonight, Apple will announce many notable new products such as iPhone 15, Apple Watch, AirPods. Among them, the iPhone 15 series is the product that iFans are most looking forward to.

The iPhone 15's Worthwhile Changes

First, according to rumors before the launch, the iPhone 15 models will feature a USB-C port instead of a Lightning port. This will allow iPhones, Macs, and iPads to use the same charger and charging cable.

The reason for this change comes from European regulations requiring electronic devices to have standardized charging ports, and USB-C ports will be deployed worldwide.

While all iPhone 15 models will use a USB-C port, there are some design changes that are exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max.

Second, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus cameras will feature an optical zoom periscope lens for higher resolution images and improved quality in low light conditions.

With the iPhone 15 Pro Max, optical zoom can be up to 6x, which is 3 times higher than current iPhone models.

Third, the iPhone 15 Pro will measure 146.6mm x 70.6mm x 8.25mm and weigh 188 grams. This compares to the iPhone 14 Pro's 147.5mm x 71.5mm x 7.85mm and 206 grams. The thickness of the iPhone 15 Pro Max is said to increase from 7.85mm to 8.25mm, while the weight will decrease from 240 grams to 221 grams thanks to the switch to a titanium frame.

Additionally, Apple is likely to use grade 5 Titanium or Ti-6AI-4V with the best corrosion resistance for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models.

Fourth, improving battery saving capabilities will be the main trend that Apple aims for when equipping the A17 Bionic chip in the iPhone Pro models.

All new iPhone 15 models will come with an upgraded U2 ultra-wideband chip, replacing the U1 on the iPhone 14 handsets.

Fifth, current rumors suggest the iPhone 15 models will come in blue, coral, white, black, and green/yellow.

Blue and coral will be new shades for this year, joining the yellow/green, black and white that have been standard in the old lineup.

Sixth, all iPhone 15 models will feature the Dynamic Island pill screen design like last year's iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, completely eliminating the notch area.

The standard iPhone 15 models will not include ProMotion technology, or Always-On Display technology, despite the switch to Dynamic Island. Apple will continue to reserve these features for the Pro devices.

Seventh, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will likely ship with a USB-C to USB-C cable of the same color instead of the previous white cable.

Eighth, both the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models will be easier to repair, Apple has added a frame design that makes them easier to open to replace the rear glass.

Ninth, rumors suggest that Apple may increase the price of the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. The iPhone 15 Pro will start at $1,099, up from the $999 price of the iPhone 14 Pro.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max will start at $1,199. Others have suggested that the iPhone 15 Pro Max could start at $200 more than the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

This time around, Apple will focus on refreshing the processor of the Apple Watch Series 9. A new S9 chip is built on A15 technology, and this will be the latest update since the Apple Watch Series 6.

The Apple Watch Series 9 is also expected to include an updated optical heart rate sensor and a new "U2" Ultra Wideband chip that will help with better location.

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is likely to come in a new black titanium color. Additionally, the Ultra Wideband chip of this product model will be updated with a heart rate sensor.

AirPods' notable changes

The AirPods Pro 2 are expected to get an updated USB-C charging case to replace the current Lightning case, a change similar to the iPhone 15's switch to a USB-C port instead of a Lightning port.
