On December 31, 2024, Power Generation Corporation 1 (EVNGENCO1) held a conference to review Party building work and implement political tasks - production, business and investment in 2024. Despite facing many difficulties and challenges in production and business activities, EVNGENCO1 has ensured safe and effective operation of factories, exceeded the assigned electricity output, and completed the tasks of 2024.

Efforts to overcome difficulties

2024 is a breakthrough year to complete the 5-year Plan 2021 - 2025 of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) in general and Power Generation Corporation 1 in particular. However, this is also the year EVNGENCO1 has to face many difficulties and challenges, especially storm No. 3 (Yagi) which has severely affected the operations of some of the Corporation's power plants.

In that context, EVNGENCO1 has practiced saving and fighting waste in production and business activities - construction investment, ensuring safe and efficient operation of power plants, contributing significantly with EVN to ensure sufficient electricity supply to serve the country's socio-economic development and people's lives.

Regarding Party building work, in 2024, the Party Committee of EVNGENCO1 Corporation effectively implemented the roadmap for restructuring and perfecting the Party organization under the direction of EVN, approved the pilot assignment of authority to the grassroots level according to the regulations of the Central Committee and received 04 grassroots Party Committees/Party Cells at affiliated units.

Regarding the implementation of production and business tasks - construction investment, EVNGENCO1 basically completed the set targets. The total electricity output of EVNGENCO1 is estimated to be 32.604 billion kWh in 2024, reaching 104.2% of the planned output of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Basic repair and maintenance work was well organized and completed according to plan. Coal supply for thermal power plants met the demand for operation and storage according to regulations.

Regarding construction investment (CIP), in 2024, the volume of CIP implementation and disbursement value of EVNGENCO1 will reach 105% of the plan.

In 2025, the EVNGENCO1 Party Committee will implement the Congress plan for the 2025-2030 term towards the 14th National Party Congress. This is also the year to complete the 5-year Plan 2021-2025.

Speaking at the conference, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVN Dang Hoang An praised the efforts of EVNGENCO1's staff in uniting to carry out assigned tasks, contributing to overcoming difficulties with Vietnam Electricity Group, supplying electricity for the country's socio-economic development.

The EVN Chairman also requested the EVNGENCO1 Party Committee to continue to innovate and enhance the Party's comprehensive leadership role, grasp and creatively apply the Party's guidelines and policies, and strive to complete the assigned goals and tasks in 2025 and in the 5-year plan for the period 2021 - 2025.

EVNGENCO1 continues to aim to successfully complete the assigned production and business - investment and construction tasks, basically becoming a digital enterprise in 2025, while continuing to effectively implement social security work, and fulfilling the enterprise's responsibility to the community.
