This is the third time the program has taken place, the first meeting was on January 8, 2023 and every three months, the Hue "sen" community gathers together, exchanges experiences in taking care of "bosses", participates in intellectual and entertaining games and brings home valuable gifts. The association has a group called "Hue City Dog and Cat Lovers Association - offline" with 118 members and a Fanpage of the same name specializing in sharing pictures and information about meetings.
Many young people attended this program, bringing along cats of various breeds such as British Shorthair, British Longhair, Persian, domestic, tabby... The offline session had attractive activities such as checking in to receive gifts, free drinks, learning about "Things to note when raising breeding cats", quizzes, throwing balls into baskets, fast eating cat contests, dancing to music and fighting for chairs, standing on command contests, cat makeup... In particular, the cats also received free clinical examinations from veterinarians at MB Vet Hospital.
The atmosphere of the program was very lively and exciting, young people did not hesitate to give their all to win prizes for their pet cats, love for this cute animal is the glue that binds everyone together. Tram Anh, the owner of a 2.5-year-old female cat, shared: “I learned about the program through a friend and this is the first time I have attended. I find today's offline session very interesting because everyone has the opportunity to meet many new friends and exchange experiences in raising cats. I have raised this cat for 2 years, I decided to buy it partly because the previous owner did not take good care of it, at first my family did not agree but gradually everyone accepted and loved it. It is a long-haired British cat, it sheds a lot of hair and often has hairballs in its intestines, so taking care of it is quite difficult, but it is very attached to its owner and is adorable”.
Mr. Tran Huu Binh, owner of Binh Tran Pet Shop, a member of the Organizing Committee (OC), shared: “Regarding the funding, the BTC was supported by Tu Do District with 100% of the location. After 8:00 a.m. when the program started, the Organizing Committee of more than 10 people had to arrive at 5:00 a.m. to set up and organize everything. However, the members still felt very happy when answering the questions and concerns of the audience in the process of raising cats as well as feeling the excitement of everyone when participating in the exciting mini games. In the future, the BTC will try to expand the scale of the program, diversify the topics as well as create more interesting games”. Regarding the pet raising movement in Hue, he shared: “Currently, the demand for raising dogs and cats in Hue is increasing rapidly, so the accompanying services for the pets are also developing, the owners also have higher demands in terms of quantity, quality and aesthetics”.
The more modern life becomes, the greater the need to care for and keep dogs and cats company. Scientists have proven that petting and playing with cats will help the body produce serotonin, also known as the happy hormone, effectively supporting stress reduction. More useful and experiential offline activities like this should be organized to help people relax after tiring working hours, as well as promote the voice of the Hue pet-loving community.
