Throughout its press conference at IFA 2023, Samsung Electronics highlighted SmartThings’ vision, allowing users across Europe to focus on the important topics they care about – from saving energy, enhancing security and accessing exciting entertainment to making everyday life more efficient.
The SmartThings app allows users to control their home from anywhere, allowing them to enjoy seamless entertainment as well as ensuring safety. Accordingly, people with a passion for food can connect with each other through the joy of cooking and eating with Samsung Food. Samsung Food is now available in 104 countries and 8 languages, bringing culinary knowledge from around the world with just a few touches…
Later this year, using Food AI technology, Samsung Food will offer personalized recipes based on users’ dietary requirements, such as converting recipes into vegan versions with just a few taps. In an upgrade later this year, the app will link with Samsung Health, so meal plans are tailored to suit preferences and dietary requirements, as well as supporting users in achieving their health goals.
The Freestyle 2nd Generation projector was also unveiled globally during the press conference. The new version of the portable projector brings a big-screen experience wherever users want, even on the ceiling. Smart Edge Blending provides both landscape and portrait and portrait screen experiences, meaning two Freestyle 2nd Generation projectors can be placed together to create a 160 horizontal and 120 vertical image experience. Furthermore, with convenient access to the Samsung Gaming Hub, Freestyle 2nd Generation users can enjoy the biggest games ever from Samsung’s streaming partners.
Samsung understands the peace of mind that smart technology can bring through generations of innovation, and security is a prominent theme throughout the research. The SmartThings ecosystem includes a range of partners committed to helping users keep their homes and loved ones safe. These partners include Yale, a leading brand in home security and the Yale Linus Smart Lock and the new Smart Opener Gate & Garage, which allows doors and gates to be locked remotely via an app to ensure peace of mind for all family members.
“Samsung has a passion for connecting people to the people, places and moments that matter most to them,” said Benjamin Braun, Chief Marketing Officer at Samsung Europe. “We will continue to leverage the capabilities provided by the latest technological innovations to ensure the SmartThings ecosystem grows, enabling people to make even more connections.”
