Sam Altman, 38, confirmed the happy news via text message to NBC News after photos of Altman and Mulherin's wedding appeared on the X platform on January 11.

The couple, wearing white shirts and orchids, posed under a bamboo chuppah in a tropical beach setting.

Sam Altman's partner, Oliver Mulherin, is an Australian software engineer who studied computer science at the University of Melbourne and worked for Meta for two years. Altman and Mulherin are said to have lived together for about 10 years in San Francisco.

Sam Altman co-founded OpenAI in 2015 and serves as CEO of OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT — the cutting-edge chatbot that took Silicon Valley by storm a year ago.

Altman was abruptly fired by the board in November 2023 and reinstated a few days later.

The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Justice said it has found a way to bypass AirDrop's encryption to identify users.

This technique is said to allow BMBJ to find out the exact email and contact number of the person sending the AirDrop data for malicious purposes.

AirDrop has been available on Apple's iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices since the early days, allowing users to exchange data between Apple devices at close range while maintaining quality and without requiring an Internet connection.

Apple is very confident about the security of this feature by adding an encryption barrier so that others cannot see it.

China has long been concerned about the potential for AirDrop to bypass censorship, and officials have expressed concerns to Apple, demanding that it take action to prevent it.

Apple has limited some of the app's features on Chinese iPhones since 2022, but that doesn't seem to have satisfied the country of a billion people.
