On the occasion of the official visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia by President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam, on July 13, 2024, in the capital city of Phnom Penh, Saigon Tourist Group (Saigontourist Group) in coordination with Vietnam Airlines Corporation (Vietnam Airlines) co-organized the Vietnam - Cambodia Tourism Promotion Program "Two countries - One destination" and the Ceremony to announce the opening of the Hanoi - Phnom Penh flight route.
Within the framework of the event, the parties conducted a signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement on the Vietnam – Cambodia Tourism Promotion Program “Two Countries – One Destination”, including the Cambodia Tourism Association, Vietnam Airlines, Saigontourist Group and Cambodia Angkor Air.
The signing ceremony marked a strong commitment between senior leaders and tourism businesses of Vietnam and Cambodia in efforts to promote the exploitation of various types of tourism services, increase two-way tourist attraction, and elevate the tourism cooperation relationship between the two close neighboring countries to a new level.
The signing ceremony was honored to welcome the presence of President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation accompanying the President, the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism, the Cambodian Tourism Association, Cambodia Angkor Air, leaders of Vietnam Airlines and Saigontourist Group, along with the participation of the Cambodian aviation and tourism business community and media agencies of the two countries and internationally.
“Today's Vietnam - Cambodia Tourism Promotion Program is part of a series of key activities on promotion, marketing, and attracting international visitors of Saigontourist Group and Vietnam Airlines in 2024. The purpose of the program is to continue to recover and expand the source of international visitors, exploit cooperation opportunities, especially with key international visitor markets after a period of being severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Along with two-way tourism promotion and marketing activities, Saigontourist Group and Vietnam Airlines signed cooperation agreements with Cambodian tourism businesses with the expectation of bringing additional high-value revenue to all parties in the coming time,” said Mr. Pham Huy Binh, Chairman of Saigontourist Group.
