On November 13, at the hall of Nguyen Dinh Chieu School for the Blind (District 10, Ho Chi Minh City), the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Commercial Cooperatives (Saigon Co.op) held a ceremony to present a modern English classroom and a set of English Braille books to blind students.
Saigon Co.op's English classrooms are equipped with modern equipment such as computers with text reading software, specialized headphones, and high-quality sound systems.

In addition, students also have access to a specialized set of English Braille books. These books are classified by level, helping students easily keep up with the curriculum and develop their English skills.
In particular, this book set is not available on the market but was compiled by the school's teachers in collaboration with Saigon Co.op, helping students access language knowledge more easily.

Excited to try studying in the English room as well as using the Braille books, Nhu Ngoc (student of grade 6A) shared: "I really like learning English but have encountered many difficulties because I do not have suitable equipment. Now, with the new classroom, I feel that English is no longer far away, and I can study better to achieve my dream."
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thang - Deputy General Director of Saigon Co.op - said the donation event was part of a series of activities to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam's leading retailer.
"We hope that the English classroom and the Braille books will give the children more strength and determination. Saigon Co.op hopes to not only give visually impaired students the opportunity to learn English but also the opportunity to access the world and global knowledge, helping them not only reach their dreams but also make them come true, becoming citizens who contribute to building a better society with their own perseverance and determination," said Mr. Thang.
