Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2023 has just opened at Tam Coc-Bich Dong Tourist Area with many cultural and artistic activities and unique tourism products.
With the theme "The Golden Color of Tam Coc - Trang An", the opening ceremony of Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2023 took place on a live stage on May 27 in the middle of the golden rice fields in the Hang Hai area of Tam Coc tourist route, attracting 1,500 delegates, locals and tourists.

In particular, the rice field is artistically shaped to depict the painting "Fish watching the moon" with the desire to enhance the value of agricultural activities through the image of rice plants and convey wishes for national peace, favorable weather, and bountiful crops.
At the same time, the painting also carries the message that farmers should join the government in preserving cultural and natural values to exploit community tourism.
Ninh Binh Tourism Week is part of a series of events celebrating the 1,055th anniversary of Dai Co Viet State, contributing to preserving and honoring the outstanding global values of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex.
In particular, the focus is on activities taking place in the Tam Coc - Bich Dong area, along both sides of the Ngo Dong River, on the tourist route: Dinh Cac - Hang Ca - Hang Hai - Hang Ba to a large number of people, domestic and international tourists, contributing to stimulating tourism demand in the low season.
Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee Tran Song Tung affirmed that this is an important annual tourism event of the province, contributing to honoring the value of Heritage, nature, culture, image of Ninh Binh land and people, the unique tourism identity of Tam Coc - Bich Dong to domestic and international friends and tourists.
Located in the Trang An scenic complex, Tam Coc was once voted by travel site Business Insider as one of the five most beautiful rice fields in Vietnam.
Following the growth cycle of rice, when the green fields turn yellow, signaling the harvest season, the eyes and smiles of the local people are filled with hope and wishes. The natural scenery with green mountains, white clouds, and the beautiful yellow color of rice fields, signals a bountiful harvest season.
The shimmering yellow color and fragrant scent of the ripe rice fields like a brilliant golden silk carpet, lying on both banks of the poetic Ngo Dong River like a green silk strip across the golden rice fields, passing through Hang Ca - Hang Hai - Hang Ba to Suoi Tien Temple, has created a beautiful picture that captivates people's hearts.
Besides its aesthetic beauty and geological and geomorphological value, Tam Coc - Bich Dong - Trang An also contains many cultural and historical values of an ancient land, bearing traces of prehistoric people tens of thousands of years ago.
In particular, in the 13th century, the Tran kings relied on the rugged river and mountain terrain to recruit soldiers, train weapons, and store food, waiting for the opportunity to counterattack and won a glorious victory in the second resistance war against the Yuan-Mongol invaders.
Also here, Emperor Tran Nhan Tong became a monk before going to Yen Tu to establish the Truc Lam Zen sect with strong Vietnamese cultural identity. All of that spirit has been crystallized into internal resources and advantages, contributing to promoting Ninh Binh tourism to develop strongly and sustainably in the period of innovation and international integration.
Ninh Binh Tourism Week takes place with many vibrant cultural and tourism activities such as: Organizing walking streets and culinary countryside markets, sports activities, folk games; performing and displaying traditional handicraft products, OCOP products of the province; organizing Tam Coc Golden Season photo tour; art photo exhibition with the theme "Tam Coc Golden Season - Trang An", water puppetry performances, Cheo singing, Xam singing, singing folk songs of the three regions; organizing exhibitions and introducing cultural vestiges of the Tran Dynasty in Trang An Heritage.

The event is expected to welcome over 400,000 visitors and guests staying across the province, of which Tam Coc is expected to welcome 100,000 visitors.
On this occasion, the General Department of Tourism also coordinated with the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism to organize a Famtrip program to survey and promote new tourist destinations in the province with the participation of nearly 150 representatives of travel agencies, news agencies and newspapers across the country.
The program is a practical activity contributing to promoting and boosting tourism so that Ninh Binh can attract more and more tourists, become an international destination and become one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Vietnam.
