Runner experiences the most beautiful running route in Phan Thiet

BTO-On the morning of October 22, the "Phan Thiet Marathon 2023 - Green Journey" officially started at 3:30 a.m. for the 42km distance, then the 5km, 10km and 21km distances also started in turn with nearly 4,000 runners from provinces and cities and foreign runners.

The first Marathon, organized by Phan Thiet City for runners to experience. Athletes will be able to walk on the Phan Thiet - Mui Ne route, experiencing the peaceful life in Mui Ne fishing village and Phan Thiet City full of interesting things. After more than 5 hours, the competition events at distances of 5 km - 10 km - 21 km - 42 km were completed, in the excitement of the participating units and individuals.

Mr. Nguyen Nam Long - Vice Chairman of Phan Thiet City People's Committee, Head of the tournament organizing committee, said: The Organizing Committee hopes that Phan Thiet Marathon 2023 will contribute to promoting the image of Phan Thiet tourist city closer to domestic and foreign tourists, in line with the spirit of responding to the National Tourism Year - Green Convergence. At the same time, the tournament will encourage local movements, promote the spirit of physical training and sports in the community and strive for this to be an annual sports tournament for many years to come.

The starting and finishing locations are located at Mui Ne Summerland Urban Tourism and Entertainment Complex on Vo Nguyen Giap Street - one of the most beautiful coastal roads in Phan Thiet city, to create the most convenience for participating athletes.

After more than 5 hours, for the athletes to complete their distance, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes for the events. The interesting thing about the marathon is not the value of the prize but the individual's efforts, the victory of each individual to conquer themselves. Regardless of age, there is only passion and the desire to overcome one's own fear to fully enjoy the joy of such marathons.

Through the tournament, the Organizing Committee also implemented the campaign "Run with your smile" to raise funds for smile surgery to make the tournament more humane.
