Taking place from June 3 to 6, with the theme "Khanh Hoa - Aspiration for Development", the event has more than 70 activities, unique art programs, modern art light programs performed to express pride in the homeland's sea and islands, praising the richness of the sea, vitality, breath, characteristics of the land of agarwood and bird's nest; the harmony between the traditional cultural colors of the nation and the colors of contemporary culture. Through the program, Khanh Hoa province wants to introduce to the people and tourists the image of a safe, peaceful, hospitable destination, a dynamic land, actively integrating and developing.

Thousands of people and tourists attended the opening ceremony of Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023.

According to Mr. Dinh Van Thieu, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival is a festival organized by Khanh Hoa province every two years with many cultural activities and festivals reflecting traditional and contemporary cultural values ​​to preserve and promote the cultural quintessence of the nation in general and Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa in particular. This is also one of the important events to celebrate the 370th anniversary of the establishment and development of Khanh Hoa province (1653-2023).

The highlight of the opening night was the song and dance program combined with sound and light, with the participation of 700 actors including professional actors from Saigon Dance Group, Hai Dang Song and Dance Group and a group of non-professional actors from Khanh Hoa University, Air Force Officer School and Khanh Hoa Provincial Children's Cultural House. Along with that was a special light show of 1,653 drone lights (unmanned aerial vehicles) arranged into images of famous landmarks and symbols of Khanh Hoa in the sky of Nha Trang City such as: Swallows, Mui Doi, boats, dolphins, coral forests, Ponagar Tower, Tram Huong Tower... The maximum performance time is 20 minutes, of which the time to display moving frames is 15 minutes. The maximum flying height is 250m and the operating radius is 250m. All images are programmed on the machine at a 45-degree angle from the central grandstand area. Different angles will actually have different visual effects. This is the first time in Vietnam that a light show has taken place with the largest number of drone lights.
