According to Thanh Nien reporters at the end of May 2024, Thuy Tien Lake Water Park (Thuy Bang Commune, Hue City, Thua Thien-Hue) has been renovated in many areas. In particular, the area around the giant dragon has been cleaned up by the Hue Green Park Center. Broken glass, bottles, cans, and overgrown trees in the dragon's body have been removed and trimmed.

Mr. Le Nhu Chinh, Director of Hue Green Park Center, said that the cleaning is to create a green, clean landscape space to serve the community and tourists.

However, the dismantling has not been carried out because the water level in the lake is still high, so the management unit has cleaned it up to make it convenient for tourists to visit.

After taking over Thuy Tien Lake Park, Hue City will invest 20 billion VND to renovate and build a 2 km long walking path around the lake, paved with stone on a concrete foundation. The path will have a lighting system, water supply and drainage, and it is expected that in the future, Thuy Tien Lake will be a community park serving people for entertainment and camping.
