At the Hai Chau district military transfer and reception point, 219 young men joining the military and police service were summoned and present in full, ready to depart for their duties. Of these, 166 young men (including 1 female) were drafted for military service, and 53 young men were drafted for police service.
According to the Hai Chau District Military Service Council, the selection and call-up of citizens for military service this year took place in accordance with the 2015 Law on Military Service; ensuring quantity and quality; the military handover ceremony was solemn, safe, economical, on time, associated with the work of preventing and fighting the COVID-19 epidemic.
During the process of implementing the steps of selecting and calling citizens to join the army, from the City Military Command, the Standing Committee of the City Military Service Council closely coordinated with departments, branches and sectors to direct and guide the District People's Committee to carry out the steps of selecting and recruiting in accordance with regulations; at the same time, advised, organized and coordinated the handover and receipt of soldiers for the units receiving soldiers on time. Party committees, authorities, agencies, units, Fronts and organizations in the wards actively organized activities of meeting, visiting, giving gifts... to encourage young people and their families to be ready to fully perform the tasks assigned by the Fatherland and the People.
Showing his determination to complete all tasks, young man Nguyen Thanh Dung, representing 219 young men of Hai Chau district joining the army this time, said: “Enlisting in the army is an honor and also a responsibility for each of us young men. We are proud to follow in the footsteps of our predecessors to fulfill the noble and sacred duty of protecting the Fatherland; I and all the young men who were selected and joined the army this time have lived and studied in peacetime, and have been educated by our families, schools and society. We are extremely grateful and thankful to the previous generations of our predecessors who have fallen so that we can be where we are today. Our young generation continues the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland. When joining the army, we promise to study, train, and strive to excellently complete assigned tasks, not be afraid of hardships and difficulties, and follow Uncle Ho's teachings "Wherever there is a need, there are youths, wherever there is difficulty, there are youths", always raise our sense of discipline to be worthy of the trust of the Party Committee, local authorities, and families, and promote the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new era.
Meanwhile, at other military enlistment and transfer points in Da Nang City, the solemn, urgent, and regulated atmosphere was also carried out. All the young men who were selected and enlisted showed their determination to continue the tradition of their predecessors and their homeland to successfully complete all assigned tasks.
