From early morning, the Tan Thanh sea music and sports festival (Cam An ward, Hoi An city) was bustling with hundreds of children, including many foreign children studying in Hoi An city, on the running track.
Young "athletes" of different ages enthusiastically completed runs ranging from 300m - 1km with the support of parents and volunteers.
In addition to socializing and improving health, the greatest meaning of the activity is that all the money spent on buying a running "bib" (for both children and adults) will be used to raise funds for charity to support hearing-impaired children; the more people run, the more money they will raise.

Mr. Le Quoc Viet - representative of Tan Thanh Fishing Village Tourism Cooperative said that the event aims to increase interaction and experience of tourists in most activities.
In addition to running, visitors are also the main subjects experiencing net pulling, sand making, painting, pot smashing, participating in street music... to fully enjoy the festival atmosphere.
At Tan Thanh fair, in addition to booths with local characteristics and environmental friendliness, this festival also has the participation of 6 villages, eco-tourism and community tourism spots from the highlands of the Central provinces. These are Rum Ho village (Quang Binh); Chenh Venh (Quang Tri); A Roang, A Nor, Ban Doi (Thua Thien Hue), Dai Binh (Quang Nam).
These destinations are being accompanied and supported by international organizations to develop sustainable livelihoods, focusing on integrating with tourism.

These community tourism villages are mostly in the process of building and perfecting products and tours to attract tourists, so the festival is a good opportunity for the subjects to exchange and refer to each other's development models to increase the attraction and brand of the destination.
Ms. A Lang Thi Be - Director of Ban Doi Village Community Tourism Cooperative (Nam Dong District, Thua Thien Hue) said: "The cooperative has participated in many events and fairs in the region, but mainly in trade and services.
This is the first time we have come to Hoi An and attended an event with strong tourism colors, so this is a valuable opportunity for us to promote our products and especially learn from the tourism development experiences of other units as well as from the tourists participating in the festival."
Although organized on a small scale and for a short time, the Tan Thanh Sea Music and Sports Festival has created a good effect to connect tourists and the community; promote connections between the international community and the local community, further spreading the creative culture in Hoi An City, which is aiming to become a global creative city.
