Taking place from the 14th to the 15th of the third lunar month every year, the Thai Vi Temple Festival is an opportunity for local people to show their gratitude and commemorate the great contributions of the Tran Kings. From early morning on April 22 (ie the 14th of the third lunar month), the people of Ninh Hai commune (Hoa Lu) and thousands of tourists from all over the country were bustling with cultural and sports activities at the festival.
Immediately after the temple opening ceremony, at Tam Coc boat station area, exciting cultural and sports activities took place such as: boat racing, tug of war, chess, to tom diem, folk dance performances...
The activities were chaired by the unions of Ninh Hai commune: Farmers' Association, Women's Union, Veterans' Association, Youth Union with the participation of a large number of people in 5 villages and hamlets.
Cultural and sports activities at the festival are mostly folk activities and games, imbued with the traditional culture of the thousand-year-old ancient capital Hoa Lu, demonstrating the spirit of enthusiastic work, love for the homeland and country and pride in preserving, promoting and promoting the unique traditional cultural features of the locality to visitors from all over.
Thai Vi Temple Festival is the biggest festival of the year for Ninh Hai people. To commemorate the Tran Kings who established the Vu Lam palace, the local people built Thai Vi Temple, called Thai Vi Tu, and it was ranked as a National Historical and Cultural Relic by the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in 1994. |
