Tears at the funeral of 3 family members killed under truck wheels

On the morning of June 6, the Traffic Safety Committee of Gia Lai province visited and supported the family of 3 people who died in a particularly serious traffic accident on Provincial Road 663.

The victims in the incident were a family of three: Nguyen Quang Hoa (born in 1988), his wife Nguyen Thi Kieu (born in 1992) and their 3-year-old son, all residing in Hoang Yen village, Ia Phin commune, Chu Prong district, Gia Lai province.

Family of 3 was crushed under truck and died on the spot

As reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, at around 4:45 pm yesterday, Mr. Hoa was driving his wife and children home on a motorbike in Hoang Yen village, Ia Phin commune, Chu Prong district. About 1km from home, Mr. Hoa's entire family was hit from behind by a truck with license plate 81H-010.45 driven by Mr. Hoang Xuan Tai (born in 1970, residing in Thang Loi ward, Pleiku city, Gia Lai province), dragging him under the vehicle. The accident killed all three members of Mr. Hoa's family on the spot.

On the morning of June 6, many people came to say goodbye to the unfortunate victims.

Many people who witnessed the tragic accident were haunted by the sight of three mangled bodies lying on their faces. Under the truck, the victim’s family’s motorbike was dragged a long distance. On the road, there were countless pieces of debris from the vehicles. On the right side, the pickup truck was hit hard from behind, rushing forward and hitting many construction machines.

According to the police, at the time of the accident, driver Hoang Xuan Tai had no alcohol or drug levels and had a Class C driver's license. The truck that caused the accident was still registered until the end of June 2023, had a load capacity of 3.5 tons, and was carrying many bags of fertilizer in the truck bed.

That same morning, the family was holding a funeral for the victims. The father and grandfather of the victims, Nguyen Xuan Huy (71 years old), hugged the three coffins and cried, making many witnesses feel heartbroken.

It is known that Mr. Nguyen Quang Hoa and his wife had 4 children. Mr. Hoa and his wife and the youngest child passed away in the accident, leaving behind 2 sons aged 14 and 12 and a daughter aged 6.
