Episode 9 of Rap Viet Season 4 featured impressive matchups from Coach Suboi's team. Suboi's strategy and the contestants' talent led judge Thai VG to exclaim: "Rap Viet Season 4 is the year of the women."

Gnob, YP into the 8-bar round

On the evening of November 9th, Rap Viet Season 4 Episode 9 aired the Battle Round featuring performances from contestants in coach Suboi's team.

As the only female coach and also the team with the most female members in the program, Suboi's pairings are highly anticipated by viewers.

Gnob was the contestant Suboi saved to be paired with Willistic in the Battle Round.

Willistic and Gnob were the first pairing Suboi introduced in this episode. Sharing the reason for pairing Gnob and Willistic, Suboi said she felt both had a common trait: a relentless drive to improve. Therefore, she allowed them both the freedom to be creative.

The cheerful performance of "Having Fun Is All That Matters," based on the concept of going to the market, earned the duo much praise.

Hieu Thu Hai expressed his admiration for Gnob's impersonation of Erik, mimicking Erik's catchy "no no" song that had been widely shared on social media, which made the audience laugh.

According to the audience vote, Willistic received 62%, and the two judges also agreed with this vote, allowing Willistic to advance with Suboi's team. Gnob will enter the 8-bar round (the rescue round) of the program.

Shayda and YP's performance.

Shayda and YP are the next pair to compete. Sharing her thoughts on the theme of this performance, coach Suboi hopes to create a love song that showcases the strengths of both artists, with Shayda being dreamy with R&B and YP powerful with hip hop.

Both of them delivered a performance of "I Got You" that perfectly matched the theme, embodying a youthful couple and captivating the audience with every melody.

Coach BigDaddy enthusiastically said: "I loved this song from the very first seconds. When I first heard Shayda's verse, I thought, 'YP is doomed.' But when YP performed it, I found the two of them blended together so smoothly."

At the end of her performance, Shayda received 58% of the audience votes, and as expected, she was chosen by the two judges to continue alongside Suboi. YP was the next contestant to advance to the 8-bar round.

Saabirose, Queen B, is causing a sensation.

Dacia and V High are new talents that Suboi believes will complement and elevate each other's energy when paired together to sing the rap song "Beauty".

The song, with its meticulously crafted rap lyrics and storytelling skills, heated up the studio.

Dacia received 41% and V High 59% of the audience votes. However, both judges decided that Dacia should advance to the next round due to his noticeable improvement in skills.

The most anticipated final battle was between the female rapper duo Saabirose and Queen B. Suboi confidently declared: "This performance will explode onto Vietnamese Rap. As for flaws, I can say there aren't any. The only thing that needs improvement is the rules of the game. Don't make it too difficult for me. You two will definitely cause a stir on social media."

With two seemingly incompatible color palettes, they both decided to choose the topic "First date - Who should pay?" to present two opposing viewpoints for discussion.

Through their performance of "Beautiful, You Have the Right," Saabirose showcased a gentle and charming style with a unique flow, captivating delivery, and excellent rhyming skills, while Queen B exuded a edgy and powerful energy.

Judge Thai VG praised: "I think Rap Viet this year is the year of the female contestants. Su's team and the female contestants are truly amazing. This performance reminds me of XG, and you girls really 'killed the beat'."

The two female rappers, Saabirose and Queen B, set the studio ablaze.

With 52% of the audience votes for Saabirose and 48% for Queen B, judge JustaTee decided to choose Saabirose to advance alongside Suboi's duo.

As soon as the decision was announced, Karik quickly threw his final golden hat and brought Queen B to his team.

In the 8-bar round, with only 2 beats and 8 musical phrases, the three contestants Gnob, V High, and YP successively tried to impress Suboi and advance to the next round with the witty theme: "Midnight Call".

As a result, V High emerged victorious, becoming the last member to join the team in the Breakthrough round.

At the end of Rap Viet Season 4 Episode 8, Suboi's team had 5 members advance to the Breakthrough Round. A Golden Hat went to Queen B. Thus, Suboi has completed her team with 6 members: Willistic, Shayda, Dacia, Saabirose, V High, and Coldzy (Golden Hat).
