Viber's latest monthly subscription service offers a premium messaging experience with features like ad-free messaging, privacy mode, and unlimited stickers.
Viber Plus for $1.99 per month |
Rakuten Viber, the global leader in secure, private messaging and voice-based communication, has launched Viber Plus, a new monthly subscription plan that offers premium features to users. All previous Viber features remain free for users worldwide.
For $1.99 per month, Viber Plus subscribers will no longer be bothered by ads on Viber's messaging platform and will experience exclusive features such as multiple emoji styles, personalization through 1-1 support, and unlimited stickers, along with many other new improvements coming soon.
To enhance the privacy and convenience of communicating on Viber, voice message reading and “Invisibility Mode” have been added to this subscription. Viber Plus users will be able to read voice messages instead of listening to them when they are in noisy locations or want to keep the content of their messages private. Invisibility Mode provides users with an extra layer of privacy, giving them the ability to read messages from the sender without revealing whether they have read them or not, or to show their active status, while users can see the active status of others.
To use the new service, authorized users can select the “More” button at the bottom right of the app. All features available before this update, including text messaging and calling, will remain free for users.
“We are always working on new features to make the user experience simpler and more enjoyable. With Viber Plus, we are enabling Viber to deliver an optimal user experience and help them enjoy unique new features. These are just the first steps of Viber Plus,” said Ofir Eyal, CEO of Rakuten Viber.
Premium service is now available in the Czech Republic, Montenegro, Switzerland, Kuwait, Australia, Sweden, Austria, India, Italy, the United States, the United Kingdom, Belgium and France with additional regions being gradually added this October.
