Reviewing the organization of the Lotus Village Festival in 2025

At the meeting, the representative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - the standing agency of the Organizing Committee presented a detailed report on the implementation of festival activities. Accordingly, the activities in the "ceremony" section have been carefully and meticulously prepared with a full script for the flower offering and incense offering ceremony at Ho Chi Minh Square, the memorial house of President Ho Chi Minh in Kim Lien relic site and Chung Son Temple. The ceremony of carrying Uncle Ho's photo from the memorial house to Lang Sen stadium has also been scripted in detail with close coordination between related units.

In particular, the opening ceremony of the Sen Village Festival combined with the inauguration of the Statue “Uncle Ho Visits His Hometown” is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on May 15, and will be broadcast live on VTV and NTV, with the participation of hundreds of artists and students of the cultural and artistic forces from the Ministry of Public Security.

Regarding the “festival”, many special contents have been carefully prepared such as: “Sang Lang Sen” performance with the participation of 29 mass art troupes from provinces and cities across the country; “ASEAN Country and People” photo exhibition with the presence of ambassadors, consulates and international photographers; “Ho Chi Minh, the most beautiful name” exhibition with the participation of central museums and 15 provinces and cities; Film week about Uncle Ho with many screenings and artist exchanges at schools, military units and folk theaters; 29th National Wrestling Championship with the participation of 15 delegations of athletes; Festival Sports Competition; Marathon “Journey in Uncle Ho’s footsteps”; special closing art program “From Lang Sen to Ho Chi Minh City”.

In addition, communication work was also deployed early and synchronously with the organization of press conferences, the completion of the festival identity, the development of visual propaganda models, and the signing of propaganda contracts with central and local press agencies. Promotional activities on social networks, grassroots radio systems, and new media channels were also focused on to widely spread the festival's message and image to all classes of people.

Notably, the “Uncle Ho Visits His Hometown” Statue project and auxiliary items at Lang Sen Stadium have been basically completed. Items such as the statue pedestal, landscape, lighting, irrigation system, tree planting, curbs, sidewalks, embankments, grounds, etc. have been constructed synchronously, ensuring completion before April 30 to serve the important event.

Some activities initially planned to be held such as the Miss Tourism "Lotus" contest, the Lotus culinary space, and the youth camp were not implemented due to the lack of conditions for socialized resources and the time for landscape construction.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the Sen Village Festival is an important activity of the province in 2025, with the participation of many leaders of the Party and State, and has a particularly important meaning in promoting the image of Nghe An to the whole country and international friends. Therefore, relevant departments and branches need to focus highly and complete the assigned tasks well.

The Department of Culture needs to develop detailed scenarios for each activity, and at the same time strengthen inspection and supervision to ensure that all events are organized according to plan, with quality and safety. Vinh City and Nam Dan District need to be responsible for arranging roads, ensuring environmental sanitation in event areas, creating a spacious and clean landscape to serve the people and tourists. The electricity sector must have a specific plan to ensure stable and continuous power supply throughout the festival activities.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested departments, branches and localities to mobilize forces and coordinate well in implementing assigned contents, especially in art programs, processions, visual propaganda and reception of delegates and guests, ensuring that the 2025 Sen Village Festival is organized solemnly and deeply, strongly spreading the image of Uncle Ho's beloved homeland.
