Reviewing the organization of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vinh Linh tradition

This afternoon, March 18, the Provincial People's Committee and the Organizing Committee of the province's major holidays worked with the Vinh Linh District People's Committee on preparations for organizing activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vinh Linh's tradition on August 25 (1954-2024), towards the 70th anniversary of Vinh Linh Special Zone on June 16 (1955-2025). The leader of Vinh Linh District People's Committee reported that the district advised the Provincial People's Committee to propose to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry agreed to include the activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vinh Linh tradition and the 70th anniversary of Vinh Linh Special Zone in the Ministry's action plan for 2024 and 2025; support the special art program at the 70th anniversary of Vinh Linh tradition on August 25, 2024; support the production of a documentary film about Vinh Linh Song; funding to build a traditional room of Vinh Linh district to display artifacts about Vinh Linh Special Zone, K8 and K10 campaigns; support experts to consult, design and select artifacts to display for the activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vinh Linh tradition.

Regarding provincial departments, branches and units, Vinh Linh district requested the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to help organize the scientific conference "Vinh Linh then - now"; organize a contest to learn about the land and people; cultural traditions, revolutionary traditions; typical achievements in 70 years of construction and development of the heroic homeland of Vinh Linh in the form of online.

Propose that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinate with the General Department of Tourism, the Tourism Development Support Fund and relevant units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize tourism promotion activities, develop at least 1 tourism product, and support propaganda on the ministry's information channels.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development supports the contents according to Report No. 431/BC-UBND dated September 15, 2023 of the District People's Committee on synthesizing the list of proposed works to build the district to meet new rural standards before 2025. Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam acknowledged the efforts and proactiveness of Vinh Linh district in coordinating with agencies and units to prepare for the celebration.

At the same time, Vinh Linh district is requested to develop a specific and detailed plan on the program content, script, and logistics of the celebration on August 25, 2024. For central guests, the district needs to ask for the province's opinion; carefully review the work so that the celebration is successful. Because the celebration is held in August 2024, the activities need to be linked with the Festival for Peace in July 2024 to create a meaningful series of activities for the province.

The workload is huge, so we request that provincial departments and branches provide effective support to Vinh Linh district. Provincial media agencies have specific propaganda plans before, during and after the celebration so that this meaningful event can be spread to a wide range of people.
