On the occasion of the 99th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day, Nhan Dan Newspaper and the startup Phygital Labs introduced to the public and readers a Digital Physical Gift Model, which combines traditional print newspapers with the aforementioned startup's Nomion digital identity technology.
The Digital Physical Gift Model is currently being showcased and demonstrated at 71 Hang Trong Street (Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi). The unique feature of the exhibition, experience, and product presentation space is the Digital Physical Gift Model. Pioneered by the Nhan Dan Newspaper, this model uniquely combines traditional print journalism with Phygital Labs' Nomion digital identity technology.
Accordingly, everyone can purchase a physical digital gift of the Nhan Dan Newspaper, which is a printed copy of the newspaper's cover published on the customer's chosen date of birth. This cover is embedded with an NFC Nomion chip to identify the owner and contains meaningful messages, creating a personalized gift that evokes nostalgia and memories through modern technology.
Customers can directly interact with the touchscreen display in the store or use their smartphone to scan the Nomion chip on the information boards around the newsstand to access the order page. Here, customers provide information such as the date, the owner's full name, the message content, and greetings. The product will then be packaged and delivered to the customer within 1 to 2 days.
The successful launch of this digital physical gift model, in collaboration with Nhan Dan Newspaper, serves as a foundation for Physital Labs to expand digital identification technology and NFC chip embedding to other types of gifts such as books, artworks, and unique souvenirs.
Mr. Huy Nguyen, Founder and CEO of Physital Labs, shared: “We are honored to partner with Nhan Dan Newspaper to bring digital identification technology into a familiar field like gifting, creating a bridge between technology and the profound spiritual values of users. As pioneers in digital physical gifts, we hope to continue to widely apply this technology in many promising fields in the Vietnamese market.”
