The movie "Kaleidoscope" has been released.

The film adaptation of the work by writer Nguyen Nhat Anh has officially premiered nationwide. The film features both the cast from the original television series and a new generation of actors.

The cast from the 2005 television version, including Ngoc Trai (Quy Rom) and Vu Long (Tieu Long), appeared radiant and attracted special attention at the film's premiere.

In addition, there are three young actors playing smaller versions of the characters in the "Kaleidoscope" trilogy: Hung Anh (Quy), Nhat Linh (Tieu Long), and Phuong Duyen (Hanh). They received much praise from journalists and audiences not only for their natural acting but also for their resemblance to the characters in the original work.

Director Vo Thanh Hoa shared his thoughts about the film.

Sharing his thoughts on the film, director Vo Thanh Hoa said that he spent three years deliberating and finding the right direction before deciding to take on the feature film project "Kinh Van Hoa".

For him, commercial success is not the driving force behind his filmmaking; rather, he hopes his films will become a bridge connecting and healing for all ages.

"I hope that regardless of their generation, after watching the film, viewers can find beautiful memories of their own and feel comforted and encouraged," director Vo Thanh Hoa said.

Producer Mai Bao Ngoc further shared: “The film 'Kaleidoscope' is a perfect blend of nostalgia and fresh vitality, a spiritual gift that we want to send to audiences of all generations and ages.”

The film also received positive reviews from audiences after its release.

Ms. Hoang An ( Ho Chi Minh City), a long-time fan of the "Kaleidoscope" series and its television adaptation, commented: "The film retains the essence of 'Kaleidoscope,' but still has a fresh and captivating quality that touches the hearts of modern viewers. Many viewers around me couldn't hold back their tears during scenes that evoked childhood memories, and also laughed at the unique antics of the children."

Notably, not only those who were familiar with the original comic series or the old television adaptation, but also younger viewers who are encountering the show for the first time, find something to relate to and particularly enjoy.

Thien Trang, a young audience member and current high school student, said: “I’ve never read the book or watched the TV version, but the film has made me feel the spirit of youth: courage, loyalty, and wholeheartedly devoted to friends.”

Many Vietnamese celebrities who were once fans of "Kính Vạn Hoa" (Kaleidoscope) attended the film premiere with their younger counterparts, expressing their emotions. Singer Thu Thủy and her husband and children were also present at the film's premiere. The singer shared: "I used to be a fan of the trio Quý, Long, and Hạnh from the TV series. Watching the film today felt very nostalgic, like being young again." Singer Trương Quỳnh Anh, who attended with her son, said she wanted to "experience with my son a work that is extremely meaningful to my childhood. I hope the film 'Kính Vạn Hoa' will also become a beautiful part of my son's childhood."

Actor Van Anh also brought his beloved daughter to the theater to support the film. He said that he "grew up with the pages of 'Kính Vạn Hoa' (Kaleidoscope), so he really hopes this movie will bring him back to his childhood memories.
