Mr. Tran Chi Dat, Editor-in-Chief and Director of the Information and Communications Publishing House, said: The national book and newspaper platform is built on the basis of applying digital technology, with an access portal and reading application on mobile devices to read e-books and e-newspapers.

Mr. Tran Chi Dat, Editor-in-Chief, Director of Information and Communications Publishing House

The national book and newspaper platform is built with an Access Portal and a reading App on mobile devices (IOS and Android operating systems, called National Books and Newspapers) to read e-books and e-newspapers.

The access portal is divided into two subsystems to post e-books and e-newspapers separately. E-books are arranged by program/project for readers to easily follow and read. E-newspapers are arranged in order of press agencies.

To protect digital copyright, the Platform has features to prevent downloading, copying of e-book content, and printing of content from e-books...

Publishers, press and television agencies participating in publishing books and newspapers under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction and other programs using the state budget will be decentralized and provided with administrative accounts to create e-books and e-newspapers and proactively post them on the Platform to best serve readers.

The platform is built and operated not only to serve the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the 2021-2025 period, but also to create an ecosystem, becoming a platform for publishing and distributing e-books, providing content and press information for other programs and projects chaired by the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Closing the ceremony, Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong requested that publishing and press agencies and units increase the number of books and publications, diversifying types such as audiobooks and multimedia books; press agencies promote publications with all types of journalism to serve the needs of the people.

Putting the e-book and e-newspaper platform into operation and exploitation will contribute to promoting digital transformation in the field of journalism and publishing, and is an essential information channel for people to access, read and experience e-books and e-newspapers.

In particular, the Platform will become an archive of books and electronic newspapers serving the state management of press and publishing in particular and the information and propaganda activities of the Party and State in general./.
