Launching 16 Community Media Teams in 2024

The Women's Union of Tan Son district has just coordinated with the Executive Board of Project 8 of 13 communes to launch 16 models of Community Communication Teams; propagate and train to improve capacity "Changing thinking and working methods, linking gender equality with good traditional values ​​in implementing village covenants and conventions in 2024".

Tan Son District Women's Union donated loudspeakers to community media groups.

Each Community Communication Team consists of 10 members, who are officials from various sectors and prestigious people in the residential community, with the aim of propagating and mobilizing people in the community to change their thinking and working habits, contributing to eliminating gender prejudices, gender stereotypes in the family and community, and harmful cultural practices. The members of the Team follow a self-management mechanism, monitor and urge each other; promptly detect urgent social issues, notify the Village Executive Board to take timely measures, thereby building a safe environment for women and children in the locality.

Within the framework of the program, the reporters of the District Women's Union organized propaganda and capacity building training on "Changing thinking and working methods, linking gender equality with good traditional values ​​in implementing village covenants and conventions in 2024" for 1,300 delegates and women members of residential areas. On this occasion, the Tan Son District Women's Union also presented each Communication Team with a set of portable speakers (worth 3 million VND) to serve propaganda work in residential areas. Up to now, 68/68 Communication Teams in Tan Son District have been established, completing the assigned target.
