(MPI) – Over the past 95 years, our Party has made constant efforts to closely follow the practical situation in the country and world to issue correct and creative policies and strategies to help the Vietnamese revolution overcome all difficulties, hardships and sacrifices to achieve great and glorious victories, to build and protect the increasingly strong and prosperous socialist Vietnamese Fatherland, and to make people's lives increasingly prosperous and happy.

Glorious traditions of the Communist Party of Vietnam

In the process of leading the revolution, our Party has built many valuable traditions, demonstrating its good nature.

It is the tradition of infinite loyalty to the interests of the nation and class, steadfast in the goal and ideal of national independence associated with socialism on the basis of Marxism-Leninism and ideology. Ho Chi MinhOnly by following the revolutionary path chosen by our Party and Uncle Ho can the Vietnamese revolution achieve complete victory, our country will be truly independent; our people will be truly free; and our people will have an increasingly prosperous and happy life.

That is the tradition of maintaining independence and autonomy in policies; firmly grasping, applying and creatively developing Marxism-Leninism, referring to international experience to set out correct policies and effectively organize the implementation of revolutionary tasks. In each period, our Party has always been imbued with the viewpoint that truth is concrete, revolution is creative, starting from Vietnamese practice to determine the direction, tasks and methods of the Vietnamese revolution.

That is the tradition of the flesh-and-blood bond between the Party and the People, always taking serving the People as the reason for living and the goal to strive for. Our people have nurtured and protected the Party from the early days, wholeheartedly believing in the Party, supporting and striving to implement the Party's guidelines and policies. The endless strength of the People creates the invincible strength of the Party; the origin of the Party's strength lies in the flesh-and-blood bond with the People, promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc.

It is the tradition of solidarity, unity, organization and strict discipline based on the principles of democratic centralism, self-criticism, criticism and comradely love. Having gone through harsh trials in imperialist prisons, before the bayonets and guns of the enemy or on the battlefield of fire and bullets, Vietnamese communists have set shining examples of solidarity, love for each other; of comradeship and team spirit. It is that communist sentiment that has united Vietnamese revolutionaries into a steel vanguard that is trusted by the people, admired by friends, and feared by enemies; creating the strength for our Party to overcome all challenges and sacrifices, maintain faith and hold high the flag of leadership.

It is the tradition of loyal and pure international solidarity based on noble principles and goals. This is the solid foundation for our Party to form and successfully implement the correct foreign policy through the periods, promoting to the peak the combination of national strength with the strength of the times, bringing the Vietnamese revolution to continuous development.

The precious traditions of our Party are the inheritance and promotion of the fine traditions of the nation, of the Vietnamese working class and the international working class to a new height of the era; the strength to ensure the leadership role of the Party; the result of the process of persistent cultivation and construction, the sacrifice of blood and sweat, and the tireless efforts of generations of cadres and party members.

These traditions of the Party have profound national and international significance, demonstrating a thoroughly revolutionary spirit. Right from its inception, the Party has grasped the development trend of the times, linked the Vietnamese revolutionary movement with the world revolutionary movement, and correctly resolved the issue of national independence and socialism. On the path of development, our Party has constantly made appropriate decisions, met historical requirements, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and led the Vietnamese revolution from one victory to another.

Strengthening the building of a clean and strong Party and political system; building a rich, strong, democratic, equitable and civilized country.

Over the past 95 years, our Party has made constant efforts, closely following the practical situation at home and abroad to issue correct and creative policies and strategies to help the Vietnamese revolution overcome all difficulties, hardships and sacrifices to achieve great and glorious victories, build and protect the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland to develop more and more strongly, and the people's lives to become more and more prosperous and happy. Our Party has constantly renewed itself, devoted much time and effort to Party building, identifying Party building as a key and continuous task throughout the Party's terms.

Since the beginning of the 13th Party Congress term, the Central Executive Committee, the Ministry PoliticThe Secretariat has comprehensively, synchronously and deeply implemented 10 tasks on Party building, meeting the requirements of the new period, such as: Ideological work continues to be strongly innovated, contributing to creating unity within the Party and social consensus; Studying and following the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh associated with the implementation of the exemplary responsibility of cadres and party members has achieved good results. Strongly and effectively strengthening the work of Party building and rectification, fighting against corruption, waste and negativity with the motto "non-stop, without rest, no forbidden areas, no exceptions"; Inspection and supervision work is focused on, enhancing the proactiveness of "going ahead to pave the way", strictly handling cadres and party members who violate the law, contributing to tightening discipline and order within the Party. Specifically, the following resolutions and regulations have been issued: Conclusion No. 21 - KL/TW dated October 25, 10 of the 2021th Conference of the XNUMXth Party Central Committee on strengthening the building and rectification of the Party and the political system; resolutely preventing, repelling, and strictly handling cadres and Party members who have degraded in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle, and who show signs of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation"; Regulation No. 37-QD/TW dated October 25, 10 of the Central Executive Committee on things that party members are not allowed to do; Regulation No. 2021-QD/TW dated May 144, 9 of The political on revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and party members in the new period.

Since the beginning of the 140th National Congress term, the Party has disciplined more than 31 cadres and party members under the management of the Politburo and the Secretariat, including both incumbent and retired officials (including 25 incumbent and retired Party Central Committee members; 55 general officers; XNUMX cadres and party members who were criminally prosecuted, etc.) and handled many cases and incidents that occurred many years ago, prosecuted former provincial Party Secretaries, former provincial Chairmen and Vice Chairmen, etc. These results affirm the political mettle, steadfastness, steadfastness and consistency of the Party, State and People; making our Party more united, stronger and cleaner, consolidating the trust and confidence of cadres, party members and people in the Party and State.

However, the current Party building work still has limitations and shortcomings: some Party committees and organizations have not paid due attention to and attached importance to political tasks; the work of forecasting, grasping the situation, summarizing practices, and researching theories has not met the requirements; refuting wrong and hostile viewpoints, and protecting the Party's ideological foundation has been passive at times and in some places; the innovation, arrangement of the political system's apparatus, decentralization, and delegation of powers have not changed strongly. The innovation of the Party's leadership and governance methods over the political system and administrative reform within the Party have not met the requirements; the leadership capacity and fighting strength of some Party organizations are still weak; some grassroots Party committees and Party cells have not strictly implemented the Party's organizational and operational principles, especially the principle of democratic centralism; control of power in personnel work has been limited, and many cadres and Party members shirk responsibility and are afraid of responsibility; Inspection and supervision work in some places is not effective, the mechanism for coordinating supervision and social criticism is not consistent; the mechanism for preventing corruption, waste and negativity still has limitations.

Faced with the requirements of the new era, the era of national development, our Party continues to strengthen the building and rectification of the Party and the political system to be clean, strong, and comprehensively strong; fight to prevent, repel, and strictly handle cadres and party members who have degraded in ideology, politics, ethics, and lifestyle, "self-evolution", and "self-transformation", firmly protecting the revolutionary achievements and innovation achievements of our people and our nation. Promote and improve the effectiveness, create fundamental changes in the work of Party building in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization, and cadres; consolidate and improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots party organizations and improve the quality of party members; build a contingent of cadres, especially strategic-level cadres, who are truly exemplary in political mettle, qualities, capabilities, and prestige. Strengthen inspection and supervision with focus, key points, and breakthroughs; tightly control power; Strengthen the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity with the motto of "non-stop, non-stop", "no forbidden areas", "no exceptions". Continue to strongly innovate the Party's leadership and governance methods over the political system, improve the Party's leadership capacity, governance capacity and fighting strength, strengthen and consolidate the people's trust in the Party; attach importance to and strengthen solidarity within the Party, taking the Party's solidarity as the basis and foundation for building the great national solidarity bloc. Strengthen the close relationship between the Party and the People; promote the tradition, strength of solidarity, national pride and self-esteem, contributing to the successful implementation of the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

Continuing to promote the work of building and rectifying the Party and a clean and strong political system is an important task of the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army, to enhance the leadership, governance and fighting capacity of the Party, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the political system, promoting the spirit of socialist democracy, ensuring unity and comprehensiveness, in line with the economic and political renovation, building our Party to be truly clean and strong "with morality and civilization".
